I have booked a room from June 29 to July 1 2013 by calling in to Le Sieur de Joliette well in advance to reserve booking, so I called in mid-May. Marc answered the phone and I made a reservation with him. He told me I could email him to confirm the booking using the online form on the website,... More

My wife and I stayed here one night last weekend. We were in a basement bedroom unit, that had a queen sized bed. Small but met our needs well. Shared bathroom down the hall and a small lounge area. Very clean. Had a good breakfast in the upstairs area in the morning. On-street parking was free but you need to... More

This was our 5th stay over the last two years. It is become our place of choice while visiting in Montréal or as a stop-over en route to Québec City. This B&B has been improving greatly from stay after stay. This is a very caring location and you feel at home. The ownwr and keeper is extremely friendly and accomodating.... More

Our stay at Le Sieur de Joliette was great. Our host, Marc, was most friendly and accommodating. He prepared great breakfasts and offered assistance with our travels. At first we were concerned because our room was a bit crowded with a private bathroom down the hall. But, we were hardly in the room except to sleep and the bathroom setup... More

We felt fortunate to find this great bed and breakfast for our three day stay in Montreal. We found Marc (the owner) to be a gracious and friendly host who gave us information about nearby restaurants and the various attractions readily available. A three minute walk takes you to the metro station and we found several fine restaurants close by... More

This is a truly lovely property on a somehow-quiet residential street. The metro is 3 minutes walking and parking is not a problem. Marc, the owner, was very helpful and he moved the car for us while we were visiting the city and waiting for the room to be ready. We had the Nolan room that was not very big... More

Do not go in this in place for the following reasons: - owner not friendly and just thinking about making money - very dirty place - bins just in front of the house - noisy neighboorhood (house is not well insonorized) - junky people near the metro station - no sun light inside the house downstairs - strange noise from... Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
