impeccable service, very nice room and surroundings. I would have rated this a 5, except I found the technology annoying after a couple of days. The room has some neat features, but once the novelty wore off, they were plain annoying... ... the blinds for the windows completely black out (excellent!) but they are controlled but a pad on the...

I typically spend 75 or more nights on the road each year. In coming to Montreal for business, I chose this hotel due to the reputation and facilities therein. I didn't disappoint! One day ahead of my arrival, I received a personalized email from Veronica specifically reinforcing the details of my stay, welcoming me to the property, and seeking to...

I love the Ritz in Montreal. Extremely well located. Comfortable large rooms. Wide hallways. Quietly elegant. Warm and welcoming staff. Have to say I always feel like I've come home when I stay here and I always stay here when I visit Montreal. 😊

Having stayed in beautiful hotels over the years, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal has to be the best. This is a hotel that you will find exceedingly difficult to fault. The front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating as were the bar staff; your room is impeccable on your return with a lovely message from your housekeeper. The bathroom is something...

Everything about this hotel stay was outstanding. The hotel property is superb. The renovations were beautifully done. The room was very comfortable. The Nescafé espresso was a nice touch. The free wifi is a great plus. We had a great nights sleep. The staff was fantastic. The hotel emailed in advance and asked the purpose of our visit. They responded...

We stayed in a junior suite in March 2016 - it was part of the surprise my husband had planned since he proposed that weekend. The hotel itself is in impeccable condition. The room was well stocked and spacious - not to mention all the luxurious extras like a walk-in closet, lighted path when you wake up in the middle...

From the door man to the concierge to the chamber maid, everything was done to make us comfortable, and appreciate the joie de vivre that is French Canada! How touching that their breakfast had French Canadian flapjacks with maple syrup, back bacon, rolled oats or porridge fully cooked, etc.

We visited the great city of Montreal for a pre-Valentine weekend. The Ritz-Carlton was terrific. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was terrific with all its up-dated features. The pool and sauna on the top floor was great. we could not have asked for more of a hotel.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
