Don't stay here if you want courtesy, manners and good service. It's well over a month (June 2) since I had to cancel a (work) stay here and still no refund despite booking a cancellable room as the hotel manager has apparently gone missing. No contact from the hotel. Surely someone can authorise the refund? £400 is a lot of...

Location, location and location only nothing else.... Except location nothing good. No Parking, parking on streets only. No Breakfast only Coffee, poor service. Room was small dated, washroom was clean but small, had no soap had to call reception for it. Friendly and very responsive staff.... Location is perfect, close to Resturants, bars and coffee shops.

We paid the price for the Indy weekend. Paid a huge price for a very basic room. The furniture is old and outdated. The room was right next to the meals area and very noisy. The bathrooms were not very well cleaned. Parking was bad. Wouldn't stay here again at all.

The location of the hotel itself is very good and is situated close to Rue St Denis which has an endless supply of restaurants and bars. The room and deco of the hotel itself is extremely outdated and in major need of refurbishment in all areas. Many of the doors did not meet the floor and a radiator in my...

As a couple traveling in Québec, we stoped by at this hotel for a night. We booked an economy room, and it was a real economy room: horrible AC, very bad smell, an unconfortable humidity coming from the shower, which is just next to the bed. And the bed was definitely horrible.

Walking into the reception captivated me with a sense of old wood and vintage feeling. The room was sort of small but that helped to offer an auhentic cozy room with my girlfriend. My only complaints are very minor: The bathroom was not very nice, but clean enough to use at least, and the fridge contained food from past visitors...

Good location, very good value. Nice decor, all rooms are unique. Good to have a kettle and a microwave in the room. Also hot drinks are available downstairs 24/7. Not sure if it has an elevator, check with them if you need it.

It's a great hotel for the value, when we arrived, me and my girlfriend, we were received by a brazillian receptionist who explained for my everything about the city. The breakfast was ok, and it is really close to a subway station and some fast food stores like Mac Donalds. About the room, it was big and confortable. I certainly...

Got there at 2am on a very busy weekend in Montreal. Booked the hotel on purpose months in advance to avoid disappointment. Came to my room in a hallway with a common bathroom. The comforter had cigarette Butts in it . The bed looked like it was done by a child. Absolutely no fire place or TV that functioned. The...

I stay at Celebrities Hotel as part of my bank credit reward. Was a bit skeptic from others' reviews. Yes, the hotel do need some TLC with their rooms. (walk up, no elevators) The minute we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff till the day we left. Although not all of them speak fluent English, which we didn't...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
