Our Room at Jade Blue was clean and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and bathroom towels were nice. Bathrobes were also supplied. The A/C was a bit noisy. It is very convenient location for walking or using the metro. Linda, the owner, was very accommodating. We would stay again.

This was not a great experience. When we arrived and we could finally check in we found the house not to be up to standard as far as cleanliness. We rented the whole house in order to make our own meals the kitchen was sticky, greasy and had left over food in the microwave and oven. The stove top had... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights over the Canada Day long weekend in 2016. Our room had everything we could need, including shower and sink, but the toilet was just down the hall which we knew in advance. The room with the toilet is really a closet it was that small, otherwise I have no complaints! The... More

Second time around was was even better than the first one . parking was just down the street, this time I had the medieval room with my private Jacuzzi inside the bedroom. The breakfast was a different type of home cooked concoction daily. the bed was extremely comfortable, the The house is very historic built in 1870, giving it charm... More

Pefect location. Close to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. Parking not too far away. Parked my vehicle for the week I was there. Clean facility and the beds are extremely comfortable. Quiet area. Would recommend this B&B

On first arriving at the B and B there was a great deal of difficulty getting the door open. The keyed locking system doesn't work efficiently. This was only surpassed by our difficulty in getting the bedroom door open. Once inside, the dresser fell over due to the lack of a leg, this caused the lamp to fall over. (Previous... More

The B&B is centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation. It has a charming and homey feel, the rooms are quaint and comfortable, staff was extremely friendly and accomodating, and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be staying here again if we return to Montreal!

My last stay at jade blue in the Florence room was like sleeping on clouds with white fliffy pillows ,warm decorations and an ambiance of home. 2 skips away with a smile on your face , the proximity of montreal's finest at the door step. A kitchen brewing coffee to awaken you in the morning and a home made breakfast... More

The location of this B&B were great. We didn't get breakfast the first morning due to something that happened with the owner. She did call our home number apparently to let us know. We looked in the fridge and found some bread to toast. Opened a jar of jam that had mold on the lid. Actually never even met the... More

I stayed in the White Room, which was lovely. Although in the basement, it was decorated very nicely and had ample closet space and mirrors. The breakfast was delicious however small. The bathroom was not connected but was private. Overall the place has a lot of character and is decorated nicely. Friendly staff and a great experience.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
