I stayed here for 4 nights. The staff are really friendly and make a nice breakfast. The location is ideal being near Berri UQAM subway station too. It is a secure building too which is a plus. Only negative I think is the fact I...More
I enjoyed my very brief stay at this B&B. It is only 1 block away from the main entrance of the the train station and two blocks away from where the bus depot is if you are coming from the US. Took me only 7...More
In many ways a bit of a misnomer.more upscale hostel than conventional B&B. Very friendly girls on reception and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A communal kitchen meant self catering possible although finding cooking pots and pans was a challenge.Breakfast was...More
Great location for people who are happy to walk around the city. Each bedroom is slightly different and despite the building being old, the rooms were modern and extremely comfortable and clean with great pillows. Parking in a public underground garage was well priced and...More

The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.

It is a bit tricky. There are free parking spots in the streets nearby, but for limited time. Upon arriving at the BB, they give you a plan of the streets with the free parking spots. It took me about 20 minutes of driving around until I found an empty spot, but I was able to park there the car for free for two days. If I had stayed longer, I would have had to move it.
