Picked this hotel as the other options were out (booked only a few weeks before the convention began) or were crap (Looking at you Travelodge). Service when I first came was excellent and I was able to get my room key about an hour before actual Check-in Time of 3pm. When I got to my room, I expected it to...

This August was my second time I've stayed at zero 1. I attended last year's heavy mtl concert and this yr decided to book another stay at zero 1. During my first booking the staff made my stay welcoming from the check in clerk (who just happened to be fr saskatoon) to the staff in the adjacent restaurant. It was...

I stayed here with my boyfriend and loved the experience. The location is right at the intersection of Chinatown and the entertainment area so it is easy to walk to Old Montreal , Place de Arts, and the Plateau. The area does have a lot of burlesque clubs and sex shops so I wouldn't stay there with kids but it...

This hotel has been done in an attempt at some ultra modern slick Chique motif. If you dig loft-style decor you'd probably like it: exposed ventilation, pipes, etc. It's all decorated very dark in the halls but also in the rooms. There was no way to get more than very dim lighting levels, which I didn't care for. All the...

My husband and I stayed here on a Friday night and it was perfect. Walking distance to Old Port and nice pubs (try Midway right up the block). Chinatown was right across the street. Clean and updated rooms! We used the valet parking, it was $26 I think.

Stayed here with my partner for a 3 night stay and it was perfect. Centrally located - Chinatown is across the street and old Montreal was only a 5 min walk. Our room was on the 4th floor. Room was spacious, bed was very comfy, good amenities, clean and well appointed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Never got to...

The Hotel Zero 1 is a very modern hotel with a fast internet, comfortable beds, and an interesting shower. The hotel was one of the few i stayed in that had central air which was a huge bonus as the time I visited during the hottest week of the Canadian year. The amenities in the room are hidden away behind...

We had a great time at the place. We stayed on 11th floor, view from window is the park in the back (almost furthest from the elevator), no noise issues. We were staying for 3 days and planned on a walking vacation so we didn't need our car until we were ready to checkout again therefore valet wasn't an issue....

Hotel Zero 1 is located adjacent to Chinatown, on Saint Laurent in Montreal. This is a small boutique style hotel, clean and modern. We spent 3 nights here while we visited our daughter and explored Montreal. The hotel offered many positives and a couple minor negatives, and we would certainly stay here again. The décor is modern… bright red lobby,...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
