Stayed here on a quick weekend visit to Montreal and really enjoyed it. The interior design is stylish and unique--a far cry from the usual bland look of hotel chains. Our room had an industrial-chic vibe to it but was still comfy and welcoming. It was on the small side, but very clean, and had lots of cool features, like...

This is our second time staying at this hotel. It has a very modern urban feel yet it's warm and cozy. We arrived at 9:30am. The girl at the front desk still took our bags and valet our car for us while we went out for breakfast we were called to chk in early at 11am so that was awesome....

The décor is very strange. It has grey and black walls with concrete "accents" Most importantly the room has NO handicapped rooms I do not think we should support any facilities which do not have handicapped access. For example, I had to leave my scooter in the van because the rooms had a strange layout. The room was so small...

A recent trip to Montreal with a group of friends had me staying at Hotel Zero 1 for an entire week as my home-away-from home. Everyone of the hotel staff that I encountered was very friendly and extremely helpful. While I did not require any special handling and my stay went off without incident, the staff members still went out...

Wow. I guess if you're 18 and used to youth hostels, this is a half step above that and you'd be happy. If that's not you, stay away. There's an attempt at a design esthetic with black walls, but it translates into a poorly thought out user experience. No one at the desk seemed surprised when I pointed out that...

Courteous staff allowed us to checkin early as we arrived before 3 pm and had nowhere to park the car. Was happy to pay the $25/day valet service for peace of mind. We booked a small room that was modernly furnished with a coffee maker, mini fridge and sink. The bathroom was small and shower barely large enough to fit...

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights last weekend while in town for a concert. The hotel was close to our venue which made it very convenient. The location is great, as it's in close walking distance to Old Montreal, China Town & St. Catherine St. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. We had a great...

Stayed here for 5 days in October. The best thing was the bed. Very comfortable. The room is on the small size but adequate and spotlessly clean.. Our view from the 12th floor was nice and protected us from the street noise. Our television had a compressed view which they were unable to adjust. The worst thing was the heating....

recently stayed at the hotel zero 1 for 4 nights. the hotel is conveniently located near Old Montreal (it's across from the entrance to Chinatown) a 15 minute walk. it's in the 'entertainment district' - looks a little shoddy but lots of great cafe/coffee shops along St. Laurent. and also walking distance to the Latin Quarter which is another cool...

We had a Fantastic stay at Hotel Zero 1. Sadly we were only there for one night, but it was wonderful nonetheless. We were in Montreal for a Family get together in the Old Port(Just a 15 minute walk from the hotel). Upon arrival, we were welcomed to the hotel and quickly checked in to our room. The room was...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
