We booked this accommodation online after being led to believe by the internet that there were very few rooms available in Summerside for the night we needed but upon arriving in town there seemed to be several much nicer looking hotels, motels and B&Bs with vacancies. We found the room to be spacious and clean but missing basics such as good lighting for reading, a clock, blow dryer, a non slip mat or safety grips for the shower, and worst of all NO ICE available except in July and August. You will be told to go next door to the garage and buy a great big bag for yourself!

Called motel directly to book and told they had no rooms available but able to book through Booking.com.found this inconvenient as we had to cancel and rebook due to bad weather conditions and the cancellation needed to be made 2 days before booked date and this is sometimes not possible in winter season due to unpredictable weather conditions.Plastic ashtray attached to wall outside door half melted and still full of cigarette butts could propose a danger.door way difficult for a senior to get in needs a step to help. .All rooms look out at a large overfull garbage container and garbage and debris out side the back door of a house.no couch or kitchenette as advertised, had a microwave and frig.Quiet at this time of year and bed clean and comfortable, room and bathroom looked like it had been renovated except for old looking airconditioner attached to wall which we did not need.In future we will try to find a better quality motel .

I'm giving this motel a 4 for the experience. It's a perfect, clean little place--quiet, great location to scoot west or east exploring during the day. Being realistic, the beds are not the most comfortable. And it's plain. So, if you're looking for fancy, this is not the place. But It was perfect for us. They have full kitchens and half kitchens, which is all we needed. Laundry is available, also. And for $80 incl--what more could you ask for?? And the owners are very pleasant!!

We booked to this drive in Baker's Lighthouse Motel for the night in Summerside, PEI but when my husband tried to get in, the steps is too high for him with his crutches. So I asked the owner if they have a portable ramp that he can use, but the owner answered back in a very rude manner. He told me that we can leave and we can't get our money back and it's not his problem that my husband can't get in. So we decided to leave. I guess this people doesn't have considerations on people with disabilities!!! Please don't support this business!!!

We checked in around 5 pm. The girl at the desk did not know how to do anything and had to keep calling her boss. The credit card machine was already shut down for the night so we made arrangements to pay when We checked out in the morning. The boss came knocking on the door at 8 pm and insisted we pay right now. We explained we were already in our underwear for the night and would pay as arranged earlier. He became irate and kicked us out!! So rude!!

Had a cute little efficiency unit. The price was average and the place was clean and updated. Hung out in the evening with the other guests shooting the breeze. Easy to get to everyplace we wanted to go.

• Busy corner, close to beaches, raceway and bridge. Gas station and 60s style eatery (one minute walk with good food) Clean, nice cotton sheets and bright white fresh smelling bathroom linens. I liked the extra small soap (less waste) and the wrapped throw away cups...we know they we clean! Two queen sized beds, good lighting.....be careful the water is super hot!!!
• AC was a bit lacking, no clock radio, no hair dryer and no rubber mat for inside tub. Fridge had a bit of a fishy smell and was not really cold.

I had to come to Summerside PEI for some training , I needed affordable place to stay for a week. This family owned establishment is very friendly and helpful. They made sure I got a Kitchenette Room for my week stay so this was extremely helpful so I would be able to cook my meals and save money during my stay in PEI.The location of the motel is very convenient and easy to access all near by shopping centers. Motel is very clean and updated , comfortable and spacious! Kitchenette rooms have dishes and cooking ware for your convenience! Full fridge and stove , microwave and coffee machines are there for your use , all items are clean and well maintained 😁This would be prefect for family's to stay here too , my room had two double beds and a futon . Washroom is very clean and updated ! I am very happy with the price, great value for your dollar 😊

We stayed from August 23rd to the 28th. The room was very clean. We had a stove, microwave, full size fridge, toaster, coffee maker and the cutlery and dishes for two.

There was a couch and little dining table for two.

The exterior might not look that appealing but the interior was very cosy and worth the investment!

The only negative comment we can make is that the hot water tank is insufficient for the premises when this little hotel is full (which was the case during our stay).

We would definitely go back!

Booked this room on line after having poor luck the day before finding accommodations along the way. This motel is far superior to the place we stayed at last night in Charlottown (Comfort Inn) and is 1/2 the price. Very clean, free Wi-Fi also has fridge, toaster, coffee maker etc.
