Cairns Motel is a 3 star, family operated motel, with rooms recently renovated, and new rooms added in the spring of 2009. Our spacious grounds, filled with large flower gardens, as well an orchard with a Gazebo, makes for a relaxing atmosphere. As well our groomed trail connects onto the confederation Walking/Bicycle trail. All rooms have a fridge/microwave, 32" flat screen cable TV, air conditioning,Telephone and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Also new in 2009 We added a convenience room with Coin laundry, Soda vending machine, and Ice dispenser ( Open 24 hours ) *NEWLY Up-graded WIFI, ( Aug 2014)

This was absolutely the best motel I've ever stayed in and I'm from Saskatchewan The place is very well taken care of and the owners really take pride in their motel. It's very quiet and very safe place to stay. The starlight diner is not far away and serves great food The room even had a towel made animal on the bed which was a nice touch. My hubby and I would stay here again.

Highest recommendation for this gem, one of the best family-run budget motels we have ever experienced. We stayed three nights. The room was very reasonably priced, spotless, modern and air-conditioned. There were no signs of wear and tear, which is remarkable. Perhaps there has been a recent renovation? The bed was comfortable, the lighting was good, the bathtub had two grab bars. There was even a grab bar next to the toilet, which is exceedingly uncommon for a budget motel. There was no breakfast, but there was a spotless fridge and microwave in the room as well as complimentary coffee and tea, and we had our instant oatmeal packets so no problem. The well-kept grounds are pleasant, with picnic tables and a gazebo. All the rooms are ground level so there are no stairs to deal with. The man who checked us in gave us some good tips about the town. The AC issue was handled swiftly and graciously. It looks like there is no drop box for the room key, so checkout probably needs to be done face-to-face. The owners also have a property directly across the street with the same types of rooms and rates.

What a great, family operated motel. Rooms are drive ups, where you park your car outside your door.
Our unit was spotless, with 2 very comfortable queen beds. Came equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and wall mounted flat screen TV. Small table and 2 chairs and a comfy armchair.
Bathroom was large and had sink in vanity, bath tub with shower and clean, modern toilet. Linens were new and bright white. We even had towel art!
We were a little concerned when we saw a group of younger guys located in rooms beside us, but they were either very quiet or the rooms had good soundproofing. We didn't hear them at all.
Will definitely stay at Cairns Motel again on our next visit to Summerside.

We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely motel. The owners are a great couple who work at making sure that their guests are comfortable. They even put towel 'animals' on the bed like you see on a cruise. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean with both a microwave and refrigerator. There is even a small deck off each room with a seating area to enjoy some relaxing time outside.

Cairns motel is a great place to stay! We slept there for 3 nights. King size bed very comfortable, big tv available. Room looks modern and smell so good! Batheroom very clean and a.c. available. Located in Summerside, close to a few restaurants, grocery and bars. Around 40 minutes from Charlottetown and around 25 from New Gasglow, which is where we went. Services is also very great as the owners of the Cairns are very sympathic! Recommand 100%!

Lobster 🦞 shaped towel on the bed and the small penguin in the washroom were so cute 😊 The motel is very easy to access off the Highway and a short walk to a lovely Boardwalk and a restaurant called Brothers2 The motel has a nice little outside spot to sit In front of your spot/ suites. The room was spotless clean and the beds super Comfy. Large new flatscreen, fluffy towels and easy checking in and out. There is a nice grassed area for kids to run around or Pets to wander and stretch. Summerside is a nice little place and i would recommend using it as a jump off spot it’s only 1/2 hour to Charlottetown and close to the Confederation Bridge Thanks for the stay

The day that I checked in, I was warmly greeted by a VERY friendly desk clerk who made me feel welcome. The rooms were immaculately clean with a daily consistent abundance of towels & toiletries. I had a big screen smart tv in my room. I always felt welcome. I will definitely stay again on future visits to Summerside.

Quiet, clean, and comfortable. There is a small fridge with kitchenette space which is really helpful for quick meals or cooler item storage, as well as small table for eating. Great location close to throughway from bridge to North Shore, and anything in Summerside. There was a very friendly cat around as well, super adorable... not sure who owns it, but I missed my own cat, so was happy to meet him/her.

We stayed at the Cairns Motel for 10 days in June. The owners are so nice and helpful. Our room was very clean, and the beds were comfy. Room included a fridge and microwave. Because I have a bad back, we were offered a room with bars beside the toilet and tub, which was much appreciated. The grounds are immaculate and it's easy to get to the Confederation Trail for a walk. There is a laundry room onsite which was very convenient. Coffee is available in the lobby every morning. I would highly recommend the Cairns Motel.
