Our stay at the Best Western Plus Waterfront Hotel in Windsor was absolutely wonderful! We came in to meet with family and picked the hotel for the quality of the amenities and location to my Mom. The room was clean and beautiful with a great view of the Detroit Skyline. The staff was courteous and friendly but we were especially blown away by the quality of the restaurant (the River Room). We hadn't made reservations at another restaurant in Windsor for this particular Saturday night and found ourselves out of luck at most places which were booked up, but we then looked at the hotel restaurant which accommodated us at the last minute. The view of the river and Detroit was fantastic but the food and service was phenomenal. Our server Samrah was just a joy and very attentive to our needs, especially my kids. The food was delicious; we had the lamb, chicken, spaghetti and fillet entrees with most of the tapas pintxos to start. Very impressed! We also got to meet Voula who is the restaurant manager in the morning when we went to the hotel again for breakfast. She was very warm and conversational and we just loved her. I am going to make plans to return to this hotel in the future based on our experiences here. Thank you Best Western Plus team!…
The panoramic queen room is just fantastic. The view is amazing especially on the high floors. You can watch the ships come and go, see all the water activity, The night lights across the river are certainly stunning. The curtains they have on the huge window are room darkening, so you can sleep late without the sun waking you.For the value you certainly get your money's worth. Plus breakfast is included.
The room with the panoramic view was definitely worth it! I loved the proximity to restaurants, galleries, the Riverfront trail, and even Caesars. Downside was that breakfast is no longer included in the rate and parking is an extra cost.
The lake view is exceptional from our King bed suite. The room was super clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and the room was very quite. Would definitely return when we come back to Windsor again.
We have stayed in the BW Waterfront many times over the last 20 years, since we have family in Windsor. We haven’t been since the pandemic and we’re very disappointed with how run down it has become. The room was rather shabby and tired looking. We didn’t even want to use the bathtub for shower or bath. We stayed in a pet friendly room so perhaps that accounts for the shabbiness and is where they now put guests with a dog. Room amenities like Kleenex were missing and the Keurig machine didn’t work. Breakfast was not longer available, although that was not mentioned when we booked our room online. The pet fee was nightly, rather than for the stay. This did not make sense since the room was not cleaned daily. We were told it was for guests with allergies but we were on a floor designated for pets. The one perk was being able to walk on the waterfront trail system however, we encountered a number of homeless individuals using the treed areas for sleeping. It was the first time visiting here where we did not feel safe walking outside.…
Front desk staff were knowledgeable, personable and professional. The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the Detroit River and the Ambassador Bridge. We enjoyed using the pool, which was the same depth (3’5”) all around. The parking set up was a bit unusual, felt like parking offsite but I suspect there were no other options. Room seemed small compared to other hotels. Gift/snack shop was limited.
I really expected more for the price. After seeing lots of dirty and dust in areas of the home I questioned the actual cleanliness. Not a good nights rest after all of that. Not sure if I will return to this location.
Just stayed there a few days ago. I booked it specifically because I had been there a few times before and I knew they had a hot tub. Well, to my surprise the hot tub was gone. Replaced with yet more lounge chairs. That, and finding out that breakfast wasn't included in the price. And having not one but two repairmen show up to repair our door because both of them thought no one was occupying the room... well... I won't be rebooking.
This hotel is on the waterfront just minutes from the Casino for a fraction of the price. We went with a group and all the rooms had a view of the River. The Staff are just awesome. Everyone is so pleasant and eager to help, we really felt welcomed. The restaurant is well situated with modern decor and a full view of the River. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Windsor.
Almost perfection. If the much newer DoubleTree by Hilton wasn’t right next door, I would have ranked Best Western higher. I stayed here while on a train trip around Eastern Canada. I needed to do laundry and was directed by the front desk to go next door to the DoubleTree and show my Best Western room key. The staff next door escorted me to one of the laundry rooms and unlocked the door. I put my items in and then was taken back down to the lobby to wait. Drying my items was the same. I was escorted up and down. Other than that, Best Western was great. My room had a side view of the Detroit River. I grew up in Detroit and spent my childhood wondering what my life would be like, if I ever made it to the other side. Thank you, Best Western Plus Waterfront Hotel!
