The hotel has a high lobby and is walking distance to quite a number of attractions. (You will be so close to the Toronto Tower that you cannot the top of it from your window). Service is friendly and efficient. Easy to recommend.
I booked in for a couple nights at the beginning of a 2 week holiday in Eastern Canada. This was the first time traveling since the onset of COVID-19, so I was prepared that services may be a little different than usual. First off, the location can't be beat for those heading to Toronto for holiday, business, or for sports events (post-covid-19). The hotel is located right across from the CN Tower, and is connected to Union Station via a skywalk network, so walking from the Union Express Train to the hotel only took about 5 minutes, and was very easy! The hotel is also located just down the street from Scotiabank Stadium, as well as Rogers Centre - so definitely just steps from everywhere. We were booked into a corner room, and it is 100% worth it! The room size is wonderful, and we had full views of the CN Tower, the city skyline as well as part of Lake Ontario - the bathroom was beautiful with a large floor to ceiling window and a fantastic shower! The king size bed was very comfortable, and I loved all the plugins and attachments in the room - the room was definitely well designed for both leisure travelers and corporate travelers. With COVID-19, obviously certain services such as room service, and housekeeping are very limited, but honestly we didn't notice at all. The front desk staff were fantastic, and extremely helpful. Fortunately the pool was open (on limited hours) and their restaurant was also open, so honestly we felt that the services offered were more than acceptable. The room was very clean, and it's very clear that they are taking the COVID-19 precautions very seriously! I would 100% stay here again, and look forward to enjoying it some day in a world without COVID restrictions! Thanks for the great stay!…
Front Desk Staff Priscilla, Danielle & Chrissy were exceptional in their service & checkin! They were personable, professional & very informative. They all went above & beyond in their service & made my check in process seamless. The rooms themselves were amazing with incredible views of the city/CN Tower. Breakfast offerings were delectable & the bar downstairs was great to watch the Football game while the wife was upstairs watching a movie in the room! Excellent Hotel. You won’t be disappointed. Kudos Marriott! 💯
Due to Covid, we decided to stay local and celebrate our anniversary at one of the top rated hotels with a spectacular view. From my research, I booked the King Corner Skyline view room looking southwest over Lake Ontario, Toronto Islands, CN Tower, Rogers Centre(home field to the Toronto Blue Jays), Ripleys Aquarium and the Steamwhistle brewhouse/locomotive roundhouse. The hotel is 46 floors but this room category only goes as high as floor 22 or thereabouts. Check-in was quick and effortless. Our room 2214 was very clean and the views amazing day it night. The bathroom had a separate glass and tile shower large enough to easily move around without banging into the walls. I liked the removable hand held shower head. There was also a stand alone tub with views south and west. Full floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom with pull down privacy shades for each pane of glass. The water pressure, toilet and HVAC system were all good. The elevators for this hotel are at the west end of the hotel so our room is very close to the elevators. Maybe if Covid was not a factor, the hotel would have been busier and maybe the noise from people talking and waiting by the elevators may have bothered me but it was not a factor except maybe once with what sounded like a family waiting for an elevator. Keep that in mind. Every time we walked by the front desk, the staff behind the counters would say hello if there were not busy with customers. James, who works at the Soco Kitchen and Bar in the hotel’s lobby was fantastic! We just went in for some drinks after our check-in and he was very helpful, personable and kind. We really enjoyed our time in there largely because of James. This hotel is just slightly south and west of the main downtown core. You can walk north to Queen Street West (where there are shops and additional restaurants) in about 9 minutes. There are other very good restaurants within a 1-5 minute walk also. The room has a safe which has an interior size that should fit a 17” laptop with a height about 5-1/2”(14cm). I didn’t take measurements so this is an estimated size. The room also has a small refrigerator. Now it completely froze our supplied bottle of water I put in there. I understand some other room fridges are doing this and there is no setting to adjust. But I hear if you fill the fridge with more items, it should not freeze the items. The similar room named the King Corner Cityview should face the downtown core/financial district with it’s many skyscrapers. This room will be further away from the elevators. We loved this hotel and it’s location and mentioned to each other we would stay here again. …
I have been looking forward to staying at the Delta for a while and I have been so disappointed. Our bathroom was fairly dirty. Scum on the countertop. Carpet has a few stains. Bathroom door handle was gross. Aside from the cleanliness, the bed is not comfortable. No fitted sheet, so you're sleeping on a crumpled up sheet and lots of exposed mattress half way through the night , which is very gross in a hotel. Most obnoxious of all was the parking situation. Chose to self park as we were only staying for a night. The lot in the hotel is a public lot, with no in and out privelages, which was not mentioned during check in. We went out for dinner and were charged $45 to leave for dinner, and another $45 when we checked out the next morning. I believe valet is $55 and you would most certainly have in and out. On the bright side, if you are in town for a game at either Scotia or sky dome, at some point in the future, the location is pretty unbeatable. …
