Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and approachable, a great free breakfast and facilities are all great. Location is great too, only a 30 min walk into downtown and within walking distance to lots of other attractions! Definitely recommended!

Friendly and helpful staff, really clean, incredible views from the rooftop. Not hard to get down town from the location. Good breakfast and activities, plus the en suite showers are a real bonus. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom.. this place is an absolute bargain for the price we paid! Very clean, rooms are a little on the small side but that doesn't matter as your never there! The roof is absolutely incredible.. by far the best part about it! A great view of Toronto sky line.. unfortunately it...

Breakfast was amazing, the best breakfast in a hostel I've ever had and it's all free. The staff were fab, super friendly and helpful, simply can't fault them. They have themed nights, movie night with free popcorn, karaoke night etc. Free Wifi is available, quick and easy to access. I so wanted to rate this place as excellent but unfortunately...

My husband and I planned a trip to Toronto but quickly realized that hotel prices were out of our budget. We instead booked our stay at the Planet Traveler hostel but were nervous because we didn't know what to expect. Everything turned out great! We had a private room and only had to share a bathroom with 3 other private...

What I liked: hostel is clean, friendly & knowledgeable staff, close to down town, has many interesting and international guests who love to socialize. Many extra perks such as free rice and popcorn, evening activities, plug-ins at every bed, showers for each dorm room, locking lockers, coin laundry, telephones & computers for guest use, bicycles for rent, parking. What I...

This is a solid choice for a hostel in Toronto and there's lots really good about it - great roof terrace, breakfast included, clean, friendly, well equipped kitchen. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the dorms and bathrooms are small - it can feel cramped. And there weren't any other showers other than the one in...

The Planet Traveler hostel is simply outstanding. Upon arrival you are given a guided tour of all the hostel's facilities, meaning that you know where everything is straight away. The rooms are typical of what you would expect at a hostel and are cleaned by the staff every day. A plus point is that every bed has it's own lamp...

I had an amazing time when I stayed here. The rooms are clean and comfortable, location is good and the rooftop has a great view of the city. It's easy to make friends as the hostel organises events like a free bbq. The staff that work here are just incredible and so accommodating (I hope their boss is reading this)....

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile

The air is pervaded with music. different languages, and the smell of fried food and mouth-watering desserts. Chinatown's restaurants represent a broad range of fare, from traditional Szechuan and Shanghai foods, to other Asian delicacies, including some of the top Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean spots in the city.
