Perhaps I didn't read the write-up carefully enough, or should've known from the price, but this is evidently a former hotel, now owned (or just used) by the nearby college. The lobby, halls, and rooms look like dorms--that is, shabby (or no) carpet, shabby (or no) furniture, no AC in public areas. There were classes being given in the conference...

We moved here from the Travelodge across the street and ended up staying at CR&CC for nearly a month. The rooms were clean, spacious and had all the amenities one desires (coffee maker, fridge, microwave, etc.). Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful especially the manager, Annie. Security is tight which keeps the place safe. Ample parking only...

We were a bit surprised to learn that this was mostly a university residence, but it did not impact our stay one bit. Our rooms was everything we would expect from a normal hotel. It was a nice large room that had good amenities, frequent room service and nice towels. One gripe was the fact that it had wired internet...

I spent 4 days early June 2013 at this hotel and was quite satisfied about it. Hotel representatives and staff were nice. The hotel lift is a bit on the slow side. The room had 2 double beds, a good working and clean refrigerator, a microwave, a coffeemaker, a good quality flat screen TV with a fair amount of channels,...

We were there for a five night stay with tao volleyball teams and had a Great stay. Mind you this isn't the Sheraton or Fairmont but the price isn't the same either. The staff was very Nice and did everything to accomodate us. The rooms aren't new but were cleaned every day. The kitchen facilities were food and the continental...

I cannot even begin to rate this "hotel"! It is a dorm residence 10 months of the year and they try and pass it off as a hotel the other 2. We were reminded of this several times like when we asked if there was a printer to use, clean rooms, hair dryers, computer access....WE ARE NOT students if we...

Over the last couple of years Toronto has seen an increased amount of bed bugs incidences and as such the Centennial College Residence & Conference Centre has taken a proactive approach in dealing with the problem. In doing so, we have enlisted the help of a pest control company that provides efficient service in a timely matter and is knowledgeable...

This is not a hotel. The linens and mattresses were stained. The bathroom was dirty, tub stained black, hair on the wall. They have bed bugs. The pool is only available 6-10 PM. The breakfast is minimal. Everything is old and beat. The staff was nice considering how much they must deal with.

Our room was ready when we arrived and it was clean and comfortable. This is not a high end hotel, but neither is it a run down motel. In terms of amenities and overall condition it's much like an Amerisuites hotel. I would stay there again if I have reason to be in the area. during the summer. This is...

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
