My husband and I have returned from Toronto after a wonderfull visit with our son, who is freshman at the University of Toronto. We had stayed at Homewood Inn and have been so happy with our stay that we wish to write a great review. The warm and friendly staff at the Inn made us feel so comfortable that we...

Where do I start? From the moment I arrived at the Homewood Inn I was made to feel as if I were at home, Dolores, Eadie & John all pride themselves on this! The location is fantastic for visiting Downtown Toronto, with all attractions only a short walk away...But at the same time, Homewood Avenue is a peaceful backstreet and...

I don't know what rooms the other reviewers stayed in, but it sure wasn't ours! Our room in a house two doors down was dingy and ugly. The blinds were broken, the room smelled, and there were no niceties like a box of Kleenex or drinking glasses. Luckily it wasn't cold, because the only extra blanket was a crocheted spread...

I took three teenagers to the Homewood Inn for a two night stay as their introduction to North America. The Homewood Inn proved to be good, basic accommodation, clean and with parking and air-con. However the two factors which raised it to 4 stars were its central location and the helpfulness of our hosts. On the first afternoon John sat...

The title speaks for itself. Each time I visit Toronto I return to Homewood Inn because of the cozy setting and friendly atmosphere. I am pleased with my well-furnished and well-kept room and the solicitous care I receive. I will certainly come back to Homewood Inn on my next visit from overseas. I highly recommend this place to all travellers...

I can definitely recommend to stay at the Homewood Inn in case you are looking for a reasonable priced place to stay at downtown Toronto. I really enjoyed my time there. Everybody was very friendly and helpful creating a nice and homely atmosphere. I got a lot of information useful about places to visit throughout the toronto area. Many attractions,...

Very good Bed & Breakfast which has a very homey atmosphere. The people of the B&b are very nice and are very willing to help you. The rooms are big clean and air-conditioned, and some of them have a refrigerator. Another advantage for this bed & breakfast is that it is situated in down town Toronto.

Everytime I visit Toronto, I always make sure that I stay in Homewood Inn. Homewood Inn is like a second home. Staffs are really friendly and sensitive to your personal needs. Place is really clean and cheap. Highly recommended.

The great people at Homewood will tell you where to go and where not to go (very important), how much it will cost you and where you can save money. They have very simple accommodations but you're not there to stay in your room. It's also cheap! Great breakfast! Great deal! Will always come back when in Toronto.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
