This is what I would call hostel, I stayed in other hostel during my trip in Toronto, but, really HI hostel deserves high-rating! The staff were professional, serious, and friendly, too. Rooms had enough storage, bed was new comfortable, pillows weren't smelling. Breakfast was amazing, bar downstairs was wonderful. All the guests were very nice from all around the world....

Busy hostel. Staff were nice and the other hostel goers were interesting and eclectic. Hostel has a basement bar with cheap drinks that is safe and always has stuff going on like open mic night. There is a rooftop patio which might be nice for summer. Area is generally safe although you do get a regular stream of iffy folks...

I visited Toronto recently on a travel trip. Never been to Toronto before so did not know the city very well or where to stay. This is a good place to start though so you can get your bearings and it's central location means exploring the city is easy. Everything is pretty close Union Station, St Lawrence Market, Downtown, Hockey...

Stayed in a dorm for a week recently and was fairly happy with it overall. The Internet is fast, check-in easy and the kitchen looked good (have not used it). Very clean everywhere. You can walk to Union station, however you better have some good wheels on your luggage. There are two main complaints that I have: 1) While the...

I really liked this hostel, if you book early and in the crowded dorms, it is really cheap. I had my membership card there. No worries about the 10 bed dorms or 8 or 6, because it was quiet, travelers weren't staying in the room, because there is so much to do in downtown or in the bar downstairs. There...

I stayed here for 2 weeks in February. Great location, right by King station and within walking distance of Eaton Center. I had a mixed 4 bed room which was perfect. The room was very tidy and the bathroom very clean. They provide shampoo, conditioner and soap although I had brought my own but thought this was a nice touch....

this is a really modern hostel, the main lounge space and kitchen areas are rather small and the rooms are a wee bit on the small side too but still nice and clean! the hotel is in a great location surrounded by loads of options of places to eat out and drink!

Great staff that makes everyone feel welcome and with all your basic amenities. Dorms are a little dingy, but the people make up for it and the beds are comfortable. I would definitely recommend here for solo travelers and anyone wanting to make friends quickly.

Great place. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they have a lot of resources to help you, like letting you keep your luggage before or after check in, and also allow access to the common areas. They also offer a towel, the rooms are well equipped and also have a private washroom. Amazing kitchen and common area, there is...

Hello Fernanda! Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with future guests. We are so happy you had an AMAZING experience. We need metal bunk beds as they are the most sanitary to keep in a hostel with such high volume as ours. We will, however, look into ways to improve on possible squeakiness. Thanks again and safe travels!

Centrally located in a walking distance from the Union Station. Dorms are clean and comfortable. There is quite a nice bar/pub downstairs serving good food at reasonable prices. There is a big kitchen, too but no free tea or coffee. No free breakfast. You get 50% discount voucher for a breakfast in the bar, valid for the selected menu only.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
