Great central location. Beautifully done large rooms and a good price (in usd a spacious suite was $375). Nice gym and restaurant and generally focused attentive service. HOWEVER as I checked out I noticed they had added $50 per day for parking. When I asked them they said it must have been a misunderstanding. This was particularly frustrating because no...

From the second you arrive you are treated well. Rooms are nice and everything is clean and looks good. The higher floors offer great views of the city. I particularly like the rooms facing north to look out over the square across the street. The only downfall of this hotel is that the elevators are slow if there is a...

Just called Front Desk to ask a couple of questions. Lady was clueless and then was not comfortable disclosing her name. Called again - another one did not introduce herself and refused to provide her name as well, that was totally unfriendly. Will never call them again and stay again, although loved this place for cozy getaways.

I have been to many outstanding hotels all over the world and have never received the level of attention as at this Ritz Carleton. From the valet to the restaurant staff, we were treated as celebrities. Our room was not ready on time, and we were given complimentary cocktails while we waited. The attention to detail in the room was...

We stayed here for 2 nights and were very impressed by the welcome and the level of service provided by all staff. Luxuriously large bedroom and the bathroom is also impressive. It is conveniently located in the business district but not too far to walk to the CN Tower and also shopping in Yonge Street.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
