My wife and I have recently returned from a 10 night vacation in the hotel and can honestly say that the entire experience was the best we have encountered anywhere......ever! Starting with a smooth and friendly check in (with glass of champagne!) and then enjoying the delights of the Club Lounge during our stay. Every member of staff made us...

Clean, nicely appointed room with excellent service. As one would expect from the Ritz. Check in was greeted with sparking wine which was a nice touch at this time of the year. See nothing to complain about as everything was to my satisfaction.

By far the best hotel in Toronto. Close to shopping and the staff were fantastic. My wife used the spa and had a very relaxing day while I spent the afternoon enjoying the club lounge. Room was large and very clean.

It was our 8 year wedding anniversay and we wanted a get away in the city with a big bath tub and good dinning options. During a call with reservation the agent said the room comes with an oversized tub, and that the afternoon tea will be provided in our special package. Once we got to the hotel we realized...

My husband's firm is a promotional client and generally we ask for an upgrade upon our arrival at which we would be pleased to pay extra for because I'm a very light sleeper and I study all day thus particularly fussy. I was told because I used a third party to book our reservation that this could not be achieved...

Went to Toronto during thanksgiving weekend with my family. The hotel's location is unbeatable. Within walking distance to all the downtown attractions such as CN tower, Aquarium, Rogers Center, etc. Hotel service was excellent, especially the guest relation team which took great care of our kids at the Ritz Kids Culinary experience program. They had great fun making pizzas with...

Fantastic massage, probably the best massage I've ever had (and I like massages). It's pricey and they will try to up sell you once you're in the spa for a massage but it's well worth it. The lounge area was warm and cozy and I could have spent all day there (wish I'd had more time). I live in downtown...

2nd time I've stayed here. Fantastic staff and great downtown location. Room had good plug access and a decent bathroom. I'd like to see more of a coffee place available in the lobby, but the complimentary tea was nice. I would stay here again.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
