Our stay at Hotel Le Germain was excellent. The suite we stayed in was a one bedroom with a separate living and dining area. There was even a 1/2 bath off the dining room which was very convenient. The décor was clean, modern and very comfortable. Considering you are downtown the hotel was very quiet. The best aspect of our...

I stayed here for 3 nights on business and its for sure one of the nicer places I have stayed in Toronto. Its very clean modern. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The location is right next to the train station and walking distance to downtown Toronto. I recommend this hotel for anyone on business. The free breakfast is...

I stayed in a suite and it is one of the most welcoming suites I have stayed in recent years: large living room with round table and comfortable L shaped sofa, and a separate large room. The design is nice and moderns without being extreme. I loved the large shower and Molton Brown products. Nespresso machine and David's Tea made...

Traveling with an infant or toddler makes for a stressful experience. We asked in advance for a baby crib, and they provided it... along with an infant bathtub, diaper genie, potty, baby monitor, stuffed animal, toddler bathrobe... I was impressed they thought about a young family's needs beyond just the immediate ask.

We are regulars at this hotel. So much so that we got a free upgrade to the Apartment Suite -- the largest on the property -- at our last stay. Here are the upsides to this hotel: attentive, friendly staff; very comfortable beds; modern decor in the rooms and suites; well appointed rooms with modern amenities including wifi and Nespresso...

Room very nicely designed, bed super comfortable, shower nice to use. The only caveat is they should have told us that you need your key-card to use the elevator and turn on the lights in the room. Everything else was great experience.

The hotel is new and lovely. Location for sports fans great, however it can be noisy on game days. Room was large, very modern with all the tech you may want. Staff was great, particularly Simon, the concierge. What a nice, efficient person. Breakfast was good although unimaginative. Location is good in general since it is within walking distance of...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
