I spent 3 nights here last week in mid-October. The B&B is very cozy and comfortable, truly made me feel like staying at someone's home in the heart of Toronto city. Location is excellent, right in the midst of the quaint yet trendy Wellesley-Church Village, and it's only two short blocks away from the busy Yonge Street and Wellesley Street...

Thank you for the great review. I have looked into the eaves troff to see if it was clogged, it was not. I guess the amount of rain we received may have caused it to overflow. I am sorry about the rain dripping in the night and I hope to accommodate you again. Thank you, James

I stayed two nights there. It is a great location, easy to find, close to subway, restaurants and parking lot. The rooms are nice and clean and well decorated. The breakfast is amazing, everything your heart desires. And James is very helpful and has good ideas for your sightseeing in Toronto. Ask him! It was a pleasure to meet him....

Kate Sep2013 Our first trip to Toronto was enhanced by staying at the Downtown Inn. The location is easy to find, convenient and near metro station as well as other great places to shop and eat. There was much variety in choice of rooms as well as prices. The rooms have a trendy décor that are clean and well maintained...

I stayed for 7 nights, and it was a fantastic week. The B&B is locating in a charming place, in a safe area, few blocks from the subway , some blocks from a Park. Breakfast is something amazing- different kind of cereals, breads, jams... hummm, delicious. Room and Bathroom always super clean James is always at home during mornings, and...

I only stayed a nigth, but it was simply amazing. The location is great, very near the subway and restaurants and a parking lot. It's a cute side street, so the street's excitement doesn't register, and the area (Toronto's gay village) is safe and laid back. There's free wifi, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere (James was great), and the included...

A friend from San Diego and I stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights. James, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. Location at Church and Wellesley is in heart of Toronto's gay village and close to subway at Yonge and Wellesley. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was satisfying with cereals, bagels, fresh fruit, and OJ. Would stay there...

My third trip to Toronto. I never thought I could afford to stay downtown, but this B&B made it possible and so easy. Renting and driving a car in Toronto is expensive and awful, so this time I skipped all that. I rented the downstairs apartment, walked and rode public transit everywhere, and had lots of time to see all...

I stayed here for 3 nights in September and the house was very clean and quiet(even though it was full) I loved the breakfast and the atmosphere. It is perfectly located and very easy to check in and out. There is plenty of breakfast items from milks, juices, yogurt, lots of teas and fresh flowers. Our host James was very...

My daughter and I stayed at this Inn this summer, and found it very conveniently located, and reasonably priced. It's very clean, and the kitchen is well stocked for a self-serve hot/cold breakfast. Thre is no parking on Monteith St, so you have to factor in paying for overnight parking if you have a car.

Stayed there for two nights and can only recommend it to everybody who is looking for a good sleep and a perfect serve yourself breakfast. I liked the family atmosphere and the possibility to talk to the other guests and to James, the host, in order to exchange each others' experiences and hints where to go in Toronto or Canada...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
