The location of this hotel is horrible. We had to park 2 blocks away and still pay $12 for overnight parking. The outside of the building looks very sketchy abd so do the halls of the building. Someone had their clothes hanging out of a window in the hallway to air out which was gross. The room was the size...

The staff was nice but the hotel itself needs a good cleaning. My room had bugs and ants. The AC control was broken and they only cleaned once during my 4 day stay. I had to go/asked to down for my own towels and toilet paper. If it wasn't for the proximity to my itinerary, I would have checked out...

If you value your health or life, I urge you not to stay here. We arrived at the hotel, checked in and immediately checked out. The front desk clerk did not even flinch when we told him it was unacceptable. To the hotels credit, they did give us a full credit and no cancellation fees (lucky for them or we...

There was blood stains on the bathroom floor, the room was dirty and the front desk staff had no personality. The place just felt and seemed very sketchy. Even if it is affordable totally not worth it to stay in a dump like that. Much nice places in Toronto even if you are on a budget.

I almost stayed here with my family, when my mother escorted my brother and I to our room there were bullet holes in one of the walls and the carpet had been cut up underneath, please for your own safety do not stay in this death trap.

I was very disappointed in my recent trip to this hotel. My friends and I stay at this hotel every year for our annual trip to Toronto as it is close to the bar we frequent. This time I had booked the room a few days prior - the confirmation email stated our room was guaranteed as long we arrived...

Fair enough, it's a cheap hotel with a relatively short tram trip downtown. Although, it is dirty, small, and reeks of cigarette smoke. Me and a buddy stayed here and could hardly get around one another trying to walk in the room. Not super friendly or willing to help staff. Seemed a little more occupied with twiddling his thumbs than...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
