Checked in for a nights rest but I I would not this place for more than that. The room was extremely small with no walking space. we barely had room for us and our suitcase. No parking on site. They tell you to park in the residential parking lot about 5 minute walk away. It's 6 dollars for 24 hours....

We had a room with a king sized bed, although the room was small it was clean. There was free wifi and air conditioning. We were on the second floor at the very end of the hallway. The area was good during the day, eggsmart is just across the intersection where we had breakfast! I wouldn't suggest wondering about at...

Service sucks, and building was full of crackheads, would never recommend to anyone, absolutely horrible, and the price was too high for this kind of service.

We found this place to be quite acceptable for the rate we paid. The parking off site was a bit of an issue as loading up or unloading was not convenient BUT the staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations are dated but clean. The breakfast was adequate and had sufficient variety. We stayed 4 nights and truly enjoyed having...

The hotel is located in a very low income neighborhood. The room are the size of a cubicle. The bathroom was very dirty. The flap of the toilet seat had pee stains on it. The towels were not clean, and I don't think they replace them daily; they were stained, and also had hair on them. I asked for new...

From the front desk's very slow service and poor English; to ending up in a smoking room and being told "there's a window, open it" .. I have not seen such poorly appointed rooms since going to New York in the seventies on a tight budget -- antique air conditioner could not drown out the noise of street cars and...

Business took me to Toronto for 4 days and I chose the Howard Johnson Hotel which was in the right location for me. Just across from the lake, close to all the important main streets of Toronto and a simple walk to some of the best restaurants I have visited. The price of a room for one was quite good...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
