Stayed at this hotel for first time recently to see a hockey game. Location was good to get around Toronto without cabbing. Lobby was clean and staff welcoming. Our room was very small, no big deal since we were just there to sleep, however, the bed was the worst I have slept in for a long time. Not only was...

Hi SENSHOCKEYOTTAWA Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We do appreciate recognizing our team. It was disappointing and surprising to hear of your sleep situation and we do hope you are feeling better. The only reason i say surprising is because we get a lot of guests requesting us to purchase mattresses as they enjoy sleeping...

I stayed in one of the Small Economy Rooms for a weekend getaway. These are very small and next to the elevators, which the hotel's website is very clear on. The room is also clearly set out as single-occupancy. This being said, there are a variety of other rooms in the property. However, as regards the Small Economy Rooms, if...

Rooms are very small but clean and in good repair. Do not park on the street by the hotel. Cost me $150 parking ticket to walk in to ask desk clerk where to park. Not even there 2 minutes. City lot just south of the hotel underground is $27 per night.

Across from the Royal York and Union Station this hotel is centrally located from travelers. There is plenty to do, the Skydome (cough, cough AKA Rogers Centre), CN Tower, and others are just around the block. Other places such as Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), University of Toronto and Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and many more are only short subway...

We stayed on the 6th floor as there was limited choice due to group convention discount, otherwise we would have preferred higher floor. On our first day one of the 2 elevators was out of order so we had to wait. Room size is decent as compared to our experience of our staying in Manhattan, NYC. We had 2 twin...

This hotel is very close to the Union Station, what makes it an excellent choice for those Using the Union Pearson Express train. The rooms are confortable and clean. Staff is also very nice. My only complain is that they charge extra for wifi.

We stay here three times a year and have never had a problem. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. A little sparse, but, not an issue. It's close to lots of restaurants and the Convention Centre is just a short walk away.

I came in after a long cross country train ride, & needed a room for a couple nights. Clean room, friendly and efficient staff. Extended my stay by 2 nights, was not an issue whatsoever. Told Shannon ( guest service manager) that I'd be back in a couple weeks. She then gave me her card, and told me to email...

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, which is a short walk from the ACC and the Rogers Center The rooms are tiny and more suitable for gnomes or hobbits. Bathrooms are basic and the tub and fixtures reminded me of cheap roadside motels from the 1970's. There is no soundproofing between the rooms or hallway and...

We came to town for the Raptors game! Came in on the train, a literal 400m walk from Union Station and approx 800m to Air Canada Centre. We were in a king room on the 12th floor. Room was clean, bed was comfy and wifi was included. What more could you ask for in the heart of TO for less...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
