Well, I am technically still staying with this hotel but I have to share with you my experience. I arrived on yesterday and called before to let the hotel know that we were checking in late. We arrived after 8pm and were told that they oversold the room......................... Are you kidding me? We complained, complained and then the manager telling...

Dear Putida: Reservations can and do cancel at the last minute and I am pleased that we were able to accommodate you. I am sorry for any confusion, that can be quite unsettling. As with most major hotel companies, should we be in a position where we cannot honor a guaranteed reservation, our commitment is to ascertain a hotel reservation...

The staff at this hotel was extremely friendly. From the omelet chef to the housekeeper, everyone was always very cheery. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, and in fact, sits atop the subway, there is a little non descript door tucked next to elevators that leads you right down to the subway. I've seen numerous complaints about...

We went to Toronto for Memorial day weekend. The hotel was very clean and upscale. The hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The subway station is right next door but we did not hear any noise. The theatre we wanted was also close by. There was no pool but we were not there to...

I have stayed in this hotel before and the staff are always very helpful. I arrived early and was given a room before my check-in time. The room was really clean and organized. Everything you needed was available even a small safe and fridge. The fridge however was to cold to be useful, some of my food froze up in...

We arrived at this hotel after a very disappointing evening in Niagara Falls (see previous review). What a huge difference! We loved our room and the amenities and the subway was under the hotel.(never heard it though in our room). We had a sixth floor room and had a pretty view of yorkville. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Many great...

We arrived at this hotel around 9 pm on the day of our guaranteed reservation. It seemed that they were running out of rooms, but finally the front desk clerk phoned someone to check a room on the first floor up from the lobby, actually on the level where they have the meetings/conventions, on which there were guest rooms. We...

Choosing a hotel can be risky. Do you go with a no name hotel for something different and exciting? Sounds goods, but when you choose one that ends up being bad experience, that's a problem. The Toronto Marriott is for those that don't want the risk. It's a reasonably priced hotel and you get exactly what you're expecting, which is...

Good location, very central. Staff were a little bit slow, some didn't speak English very well. This is an old Marriott that hasn't been renovated for like 20 years - complete rip-off at the price we paid. Terrible wifi connection for a price of $13.

I stayed with my daughters, during the week. We booked the shopping package which included a $40. Gift card for shopping, valet parking, breakfast,, and internet. Parking is like limited so just the Vatet parking being included was worth it. Will stay here again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
