Great walking distance to shops, the Beach, playground, Kew Gardens, Eating, Bakeries and a pretty fun trolley ride down Queen Street. Super fast to downtown Toronto via the Gardner Expressway - 10 minutes tops. But with a one and a half year old there was plenty to do without going far. No other B and B's were this close. As...

Made the mistake of booking here, when we got here and discovered how dirty & dusty it was, we asked for a refund. Enid absolutely refused, turned nasty, and made all sorts of accusations, This "sweet little old lady" is eccentric, picks up junk from everywhere (probably at Garage sales) not a theme, just junk, and what's worse, is that...

Recently I stayed at Beaches B&B for two nights. It was one of the more unsatisfactory places I've ever stayed. There were bugs flying around (in winter!) and even a bug in the honey jar at the breakfast table. The whole place is jam packed with years of....who knows what. The room I stayed in-The Dream Room-was a nightmare. Once...

Enchanting - this is a magical place. I felt I had found a bit of England - ten minutes from the heart of Toronto. A stay at Enid's is like a visit to a small stately home. Charming, slightly eccentric treasure-filled rooms, delightful table talk, a restful front porch and garden, and cats, gave me the most restful vacation I...

I stayed in the room at the top of the house called the "Rapunzel" room. I had to take my suitcase up 2 extremely narrow staircases to get there. There was no decent lock on the narrow door, only a padlock which you used to lock the room when you leave. When you were in the room you couldn't lock...

After being lead up an excessively narrow staircase to the top floor, we were introduced to the Rapunzel" room. Well, it looked as if Rapunzel had been trapped in the tower room for decades, accumulating every dust-laden red, orange and pink knick-knack imaginable. The room with toilet and sink was filled to the brim with Christmas lights and evening bags...

Enid runs a lovely, magical bed and breakfast. She is a colorful and very sweet character who brings guests into her home and treats them like family, going out of her way to be accommodating sharing stories, wine and laughter. She was not only delightful to me and my husband, but my 9 year old son fell utterly in love...

I booked a private room back in January 2004 for a stay in June, (+ two cats) paid a week's deposit as well. She totally screwed up and gave away my reservation! I highly recommed not to stay at Enid's B&B.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
