Pros: Conveniently near to really everything, with fast internet and great, accommodating stuff. Cons: not at all helpful with late checkout ("the room was assigned"...), their restaurants charge you for delivery in their own hotel, the parking is too expensive. Note: their internet is fast and reliable but seems to have some small problems from time to time. I discovered...

I stayed at this hotel the night after I had surgery. The staff was excellent. I had asked for an early check in time and they informed me check in was at 3 pm but they would try. I arrived at 10 am and my room was cleaned and ready for me. The location is great and the bar across...

We booked this off Priceline and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Dirty, small, smelly, outdated room. Terrible elevators. Rude bartenders in the bar area. Thank goodness it was only a one night stay. Never again. I would have rather slept in my car.

Stayed two nights in February 2015. First night, someone was smoking weed around 11:00 pm and the smell filled my room through the heating/ventilation ducts. I reported the issue to the front desk who said security would look into it. They never offered a different room. After trying to get to sleep for an hour, I finally requested a new...

Stayed for four nights recently. Room was spacious but a little dated, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Hotel is under-going major room renovations. Excellent location within walking distance to many attractions. Pool and fitness centre located on 27th floor were well appointed and very clean. Staff very courteous and helpful.

Stayed for two nights and room was fine and clean and staff were nice enough, Wifi cuts out every 10 minutes and I had several devices (laptop, two iPads and a phone) so this was not a device issue. First of all we got an excellent rate on this hotel and with it being so central in the downtown area it was a bonus for us with the cold weather this week. I had called ahead to book a room with 2 double beds and that was taken care of before we arrived and check-in was quick & informative....

Let's begin with the good points. The hotel had wonderfully friendly staff at the guest check in. And the motif behind the front desk is really interesting. And if you join the loyalty program you get automatic late checkout. Now for the areas for improvement. The underground parking lot would seem to be intermediating for cars larger than compact size....

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
