Unfortunately I was really disappointed in the level of service I received at a recent stay. I usually can stay here for business with little issue. the rooms are fine and the customer service is fine. Nothing to write home about but serves its purpose. This time however; my experience was vastly different. I had issues with my room and...

This motel is centrally located in downtown Toronto.......walking distance to many restaurants and attractions, including the Christmas Market in the Distillery District, which is on mow. Rooms are fairly priced for this located, but a bit dated. We heard a rumour that the entire complex will be turned into condominiums soon

Busy, big city hotel, banged up (needs considerable TLC), upgraded room and the walls were dinged up, carpets dirty, bathroom had hairs on the floor. As a business traveller that visits 20+ hotels per year in Canada and the US this hotel is the worst I have stayed in. Beware.

We stayed 2 nights at Chelsea hotel. The hotel is in the centre of the city, just one block from Eaton Centre ( large shopping mall). Ideal to visit the city. The hotel is huge, but good organised. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are clean, good bed. Breakfast is top. A lot of choice.

First - every employee of this hotel we encountered was very pleasant and the service we received was excellent. However - I would probably not stay in this room again unless I was told that this hotel had undergone major renovations. The rooms are worn out and in need of a major overhaul. DO NOT stay in room 1882. It...

Lovely lobby, rooms need to be brought into the 21st century. Wallpaper peeling, carpets are worn in rooms, carpets in hallways are old a extremely discoloured .. only area not discoloured is right along the walls. Beds are GOOD and rooms quite quiet, though not much soundproofing between the rooms and the hallways. There are at least 4 banks of...

I've stayed here many times before and after its big renovation a year or two ago. While the hotel is central to all locations I typically need to attend during business, the building has seen better days. It's old and the facelift was just that - cosmetic. The staff are friendly and attentive but unfortunately, it stops about there. Rooms...

We have been to the Chelsea many, many times over the past 20+ years. It is easily accessible by car and parking below the hotel is convenient. It is near by much of what Toronto offers, whether you are walking or taking the transit services (subway, trolly, bus). We wished they still had the market garden restaurant where you could...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
