We decided to go with a new hotel for our trip to Toronto and we were not disappointed with our choice. We had a good time in the pool and hot tub and the front reception staff was absolutely AMAZING. The breakfast buffet is absolutely one on a kind - so many options and variety and the complimentary Sunday Toronto...

Staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was one of the best we had out of about 20 hotels in Canada. The roof top terrace has a Jacuzzi open until midnight which overlooks downtown. Beautiful and romantic. Rooms were clean and spacious. Location is great. 10 minutes easy walk to young street. Valet parking is 19 dollars a night. Sometimes at...

The hotel is downtown with some homeless people nearby but not a problem. The hotel is a real gem very clean and comfortable and friendly staff. The amenities on offer are superb would highly recommend. We did not intend for the hotel to play a big part in our trip to Toronto as we had a full schedule however it...

The buffet breakfast is very good with many choices. Our suite was nice and clean with everything we needed. The only downside was that wifi was slow in our room but it...

This hotel in downtown Toronto is a rare find. We tried it out because of a special weekend deal. Only $169US including tax on a Sunday night including a great buffet breakfast!! It's only 5 blocks off Yonge Street. A real plus because there is no noise. Pleasant staff from the door man to the front desk to room service....

The hotel is located in “Old Town” and should have been our first clue…. Transients frequent the neighborhood and we stepped over used syringes on our walk to the shopping district. The hotel itself is a lovely OLD hotel in need of several repairs. There are two hot tubs on the roof and one was out of order during our...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
