This hotel is amazing. There are so many good things to say about this hotel First, the decor is exceptional and the self parking underneath the hotel is secure and safe, loved that option opposed to valet. A lot of other people had written reviews about there not being a lot of restaurants close by, but we went straight down...

Very glad to have found this hotel, which I booked only because it was offering a great deal online. The room was very spacious and luxurious. Buffet breakfast was plentiful, and was included in the room rate. The year-round rooftop jacuzzi is a nice touch too! The hotel is located just a few minutes on foot from the Eaton Center...

Our family chose the Grand Hotel to meet and celebrate our Christmas together and our expectations were certainly exceeded. Staff from the front desk to bell hop service, restaurant and housekeeping were super attentive and pleasant at all times. Any requests we made had a staff member at our door within a few moments to deliver us ice, extra robes...

The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, and informative. They answered all our questions, gave us helpful tips and provided friendly and courteous service. Our room was very clean, spacious and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and we had a very nice view of the city. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the complimentary breakfast buffet had a...

One of the only downtown hotels that I could find that was cost effective and offered breakfast included - it was lovely. Easy access from the Gardiner Expressway. Room was small but the space was used very effectively. We had a king bed, desk, chair, club chair, two night tables, and a tv in the bedroom area and a couch,...

Nice hotel within walking distance to the Eaton Center, as well as many other downtown attractions. The hotel offers free wifi, a pool, and rooftop jacuzzis overlooking the city. It offers a wonderful view of the city skyline. The room was a bit cozy, but had a nice kitchenette with a refrgerator, microwave, and several dishes available to use. The...

First off I would like to say thank you to the great staff at the hotel. I had travelled from the UK and not slept and was in a heightened state of anxiety and exhaustion. The staff were friendly, helpful and soothing, so thank you. However, the hotel is 1980's throwback. It really needs completely updating from top to bottom....

Really enjoyed my 4th stay at the Grand. This hotel has become my go-to-place in Toronto. Easy check-in, helpful staff and clean rooms. Love the pool, steam room, spa and views. Had a great ½ hour massage that took care of a stiff neck from rubber-necking in the city. Good breakfast buffet, great room service, and excellent location. On my...

It's been more than a month since I checked out of this hotel and thought I would wait to leave this review. The property is beautiful but the policies are backwards. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
