I was working in Toronto for a day and decided to take my family for a pre-Christmas one week holiday (as I know the city well and love it). We booked via Expedia and this hotel combined with a Brussels Air flight was relatively good value. I was nervous about some of the poorer reviews, but overall most reviews were...

My husband and grandson went over the New Year's Break to visit my hometown and see my dad in a nursing home. I usually stay at the Westin on the lake but I thought a boutique style hotel closer to up town would be a nice change. THE staff here are amazing as is the breakfast buffet in the morning...

My Wife and I visited The Grand for our anniversary. They were kind enough to offer us a room upgrade. From the moment we arrived, we encountered friendly staff and beautiful accomodations. I was pleased that they didn't gauge us for parking which is becoming the norm in downtown Toronto.

Great location. Walking distance to many attractions. Roof top hot tubs were amazing. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The included buffet breakfast had something for everyone. Would book here again.

It's amazing! The room has a living room with a sofa-bed, tv, dvd player. There's also a complete kitchen. Then, you get to the room, ours had only one bed, but it was huge. My only complaints are about the safe (it's on the floor) and the key (it's not the regular card key, it's a weird key that never...

Nice hotel in a great location. Minutes from all the action. It's a 20 minute walk from Union Station which is reasonable. Young St is just a block away where you can find lots of action including the Eatons Centre. Easily walk to the ACC to catch a game and do the CN tower. Don't use the metro as everything...

No complaints. Hotel is quite nice, clean rooms and good amenities. Rooms are nice, only one nightstand but not a big deal. Has kitchenettes with fridge and microwave. Room service is good. Rooftop hot tubs are great. Breakfast buffet is included and has scrambled eggs, bacon, snasages and home fries. Didn't use the pool but looks amazing. Would stay again.

My wife and I need a one-bedroom suite when we travel. The Junior one bedroom has a separate bedroom, with frosted glass "barn" doors to the living space, which has a sofa bed. This type of door provides neither light- nor soundproofing from the living space. Bathroom is located in the entrance foyer. Good size bar fridge, microwave and utensils...

Stayed here for the second time with my hubby. We were here last May 2016. Although we were unable to use the rooftop pool on this visit we still enjoyed our stay. This hotel truly lives up to its name as being "GRAND". On this visit, we were able to the complimentary breakfast served. Even though it was a Sunday...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
