I found the location good, close to the eaton centre and downtown. There is a complimentary shuttle bus if you want a ride somewhere a bit further. The room was clean and spacious, even though there is construction work next to the hotel I couldn't hear it from my room on the 9th floor. Breakfast buffet had a selection of...

I'll be honest, the location isn't ideal in my personal opinion but this hotel definitely offers a unique touch. The building was transformed into a hotel in the early 90's and does show subtle signs of age. Modest lobby, decent sized rooms and an impressive breakfast buffet. All that aside, two rooftop whirlpools that operate year round with beautiful views...

The story is incredible, but unfortunately true. We traveled around the world a few times. but this never happened with us nowhere. We spent five nights in the hotel 15th 03.-20th 03. 2017 . Already it was strange that Saturday was not cleaning our room. The next day, Sunday (20th 03. 2017) evening we arrived back at the hotel before...

I really have no complaints about the Grand Hotel. It's not too far from the subway, and there are plenty of restaurants/coffee shops nearby. Staff (front desk, manicurist, valet, bartender) were friendly and helpful. The breakfast and coffee was definitely better than you'd expect from a hotel. And the room was comfortable and well-kept. The icing on the cake for...

The Grand Hotel is a lovely facility with spacious rooms and beautiful amenities. The location is superior! The check in procedure was extremely slow, but we were ultimately accommodated nearly one hour beyond the check in time. There was a discrepancy regarding parking charges when we departed, but the issue was kindly resolved after I returned home and reached out...

Visited the Grand Hotel St Patty's day. Stayed in room 1609. Great view, this hotel always comes through for us. Staff are always ready to please, and very professional. There isn't another hotel my wife and I would stay when travelling to Toronto. If you haven't experienced an open roof hot tub in the downtown core ( which I think...

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for our anniversary last August. My husband called to inform them it was our anniversary and they upgraded us to a suite and we got complimentary champaign. The rooms were nice and clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was included but it tends to get crowded around 10 am however we didn't have to...

Booking this hotel I was thinking about comfort and easiness. 4* with good evaluation in booking.com attracted me and I appeared here yesterday. During checking-in I was informed about upgrade, but I am not sure if it was a real upgrade. One shampoo and one gel was not enough for two people, the cleanless was not sure (impression maybe, but...),...

Everything about our visit was perfect from the location to the accommodations to the service. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day. We were able to walk to many of The sites we wanted to see, and public transportation was close to get to others!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
