Gloomy entrance echoed by surly receptionist who greeted me with "Checking In?. NO greeting of any kind. I had just travelled for 10 hours from UK.
No breakfast facilities. But hotel room and bathroom clean and comfortable.
The other staff were pleasant and obliging.
The University of Toronto is directly across the street, so the location was ideal for me.
A 24 hour Metro grocery store was a 5 minute walk west on Bloor Street and a Tim Hortons just a 2 minute walk east on Bloor were quite...More

Response from holidayinnbloor, Public Relations Manager at Holiday Inn Toronto Bloor Yorkville
Dear Salaman: From all of us here, we extend a hearty thank you for writing an online review.
We are pleased you found our location convenient - the restaurant that is adjacent to our hotel does indeed provide in-room dining, and there is a fitness...More
This hotel is OK. It is rather more tired in appearance and fit-out than most Holiday Inns I have visited worldwide. It is in a handy location for the university. The check-in experience was not very satisfactory -just not welcoming at all. However they did...More
Very clean and professional hotel. Fairly priced and great service. Conveniently located near public transportation, the University of Toronto, and several museums (Gardiner, ROM, and Bata Shoe). Only negative is that there is no continental breakfast or coffee available.
This hotel is conveniently located next to the St. George subway station. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfy. There is a bar/restaurant conveniently attached to the hotel called the Fox and Fiddle. Great spot to grab a bite to eat...More

Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and
after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
