I stayed in this hotel for New Year’s Eve. One day, after having breakfast, we came back to the room but I did not find two t-shirts. I believe that the cleaning lady took them by mistake while changing the blanket but the staff made no effort to find them. One of them was a special gift. Another problem was...

This is a perfect hotel if you're looking for something relatively cheap in the downtown area. We were there with the kids for a Raptors game so it was perfect for our needs. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, the free breakfast is adequate, and we got excellent, friendly service at the front desk. The $20 underground parking is...

We stayed in this hotel for a week. The room was big enough and clean, beds were comfortable. Amazing TV, with lots of film choices. Breakfast is not great, everything is ready-made but OK, at least plenty of choice. Location is very convenient, restaurant nearby. Only problem is room was cold, there was a heater in the room but it...

I would not stay again in this hotel. Is it very expensive for the room. The hotel shoulf have not stopped the rénovations. They changed the bed, renovated the bathroom, but didiln't paint the walls, changed carpet and the ceiling... and it looks old. Service is good, but I would not stay there again.

The location was ideal for a valentines getaway. The bed was very comfy and cozy on a frigid night. I recently spent 3 nights in this hotel & would be happy to stay again. We flew in from AB, so parking wasn't req'd. Easy access to the subway helped keep the trip cost down. Loved the comp breakfast, restaurants for other meals are within walking distance. No complaints.

Stayed on business. The positives are that it's clean with decent sized rooms, parking available (I think at extra charge but didn't use it myself), good wifi in the rooms, and convenient for a few trams. Other than that, it's nothing special - it's starting to look a little dated, the breakfast is a decent choice but relatively low-quality (although...

This hotel is clean and inexpensive with indoor parking for $20.00 per night. Walking distance to Toronto city core ( Yonge and Queen) we have stayed there 7 times as we like to take in shows and sports activities in the centre of the city. Reasonable breakfast is free. Because of the location dining and entertainment is plentiful.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
