If you are looking for a hotel on a budget, then you will probably be very happy with your stay here, as the hotel has a good location with easy access to anything you may wish to go and see. I found the hotel to be in desperate need of a refresh as the place feels tired. The shower can...

Very friendly front desk staff. Our room wasn't overly huge but suited two people just fine. The bed was comfy and the pillows, too. There was no fridge or microwave but perhaps this is available for a fee but we didn't ask. The bathroom was a nice size and came with a big supply of towels. The water heated quickly....

We were looking for a central, reasonably comfortable and reasonably priced hotel in downtown Toronto and the Hotel Inn Express ticked all the boxes! An email to the hotel prior to our visit prompted an immediate and friendly response from Mr. Azad, the general manager. And friendliness and a commitment to customer care was evident from the minute we checked...

Linen is always fresh, rooms are comfortable and clean but are beginnig to show signs of wear. Rooms have free WiFi, iron and board, desk and chair, sofa, good mattress, and large TV with good choice of channels. A huge plus is the hot buffet style breakfast included with the price - lots of variety and plenty of room to...

I stayed in this hotel for New Year’s Eve. One day, after having breakfast, we came back to the room but I did not find two t-shirts. I believe that the cleaning lady took them by mistake while changing the blanket but the staff made no effort to find them. One of them was a special gift. Another problem was...

This is a perfect hotel if you're looking for something relatively cheap in the downtown area. We were there with the kids for a Raptors game so it was perfect for our needs. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, the free breakfast is adequate, and we got excellent, friendly service at the front desk. The $20 underground parking is...

I would not stay again in this hotel. Is it very expensive for the room. The hotel shoulf have not stopped the rénovations. They changed the bed, renovated the bathroom, but didiln't paint the walls, changed carpet and the ceiling... and it looks old. Service is good, but I would not stay there again.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
