My sister, cousin and I have been greeted in the most welcoming manner possible especially from mr.Sugu who have extra pleasant asking about our mother who’s hospitalized and he made us feel at home. Very amicable and genuine.
Good location. Food delicious and well done. Parking is a complete gouge. Room air conditioning poor and front desk only offered to change rooms. Cramped but passable. Disappointed overall. Housekeeping unhelpful with no service and no extra towels for multi day visit.
We booked through a Porter Airlines package. Check in/out process were quick and smooth. Room was clean and nicely updated. The convenience of this hotel is terrific. We grab Porter Airlines shuttle from City Airport to Union Station & walked (20 mins). Despite the bitter cold, the walk was manageable. We took Uber to our dinner & back just because we were dressed up & it was cold but only 12-15 CAD each way which wasn't bad. Parking was cheaper than other hotels for my family who drove in. Breakfast was plentiful & had everything needed to start your day. Staying here again in March & April when we come in for weekend trips.
Recently stayed for 4 nights. Room a little dark as windows not very big but spacious and very clean. Lovely, comfortable large bed with good quality linen. Large shower and nice towels .Asked for extra pillows and they were delivered immediately. The breakfast is included. Although not extensive it was plentiful and tasty. Cereals, pastries , fresh breads , bagels and muffins . Hot egg dishes with bacon and sausages , fruits, yoghurts etc all the staff welcoming Approx 15 min walk to Eaton Centre a little longer to harbour side. Complimentary tea and coffee in lobby also able to make in room which also had fridge and microwave.
Although the area around the hotel can be a bit sketchy, the hotel is just a short walk to several great Toronto attractions. The Eaton Centre for shopping is a 10 minute walk along Queen street and the St. Lawrence Market is less than a 10 minute walk south of the hotel. We did not use the parking at the facility, so I can't comment on the safety of it (as mentioned in a previous review). We took the TTC to the Queen Street station and walked to the hotel. Overall, I was impressed. The rooms have ample space and are updated. Breakfast options were good, although there didn't appear to be any gluten free options. The staff is friendly and helpful.
