Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during my first trip to Toronto. The best part about the hotel is the Downtown location with great access to numerous shopping stores, restaurants and also public transit. The rooms too are nice and cosy and the breakfast served is decent. Would recommend this hotel to people looking to stay in Downtown.

Would probably be close to 5/5 if it weren't for the large issue we had. The water lines(?) were having "routine maintenence" which we were not told about when we booked the room. This meant that we couldn't shower, or drink the water from the tap as it came out yellow and we were told not to drink it. This...

Great location in downtown Toronto. Good, easily walkable nearby bars. Two blocks to Toronto's excellent subway. Four blocks easy walking to high end shopping. Unfortunately, my room was tired and in need of deep cleaning and fresh paint.

I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest hotel that I could find in central Toronto. The location is pretty great; we only used the subway once and an uber once and managed to walk absolutely everywhere else. There are loads of shops and restaurants close to the hotel, plus attractions such as the Museum of Ontario and the...

The first room they gave me a key to hadn't been cleaned - there were towels thrown everywhere, bedding was a mess, etc. So then they "upgraded" me to a room on another floor which reeked of pot. I complained and the woman at the desk told me she didn't smell anything, then, when I expressed disbelief, told me she...

Rooms were decent but the bathrooms were quite small. You can hear everything behind the walls. We were just laughing and got a call from our neighbouring room asking us to quiet down ... Around the hotel are some great places to eat at and there's a convenient store as well. If you walk a little further down, you can...

Had I read my somewhat grumpy review of this hotel after I had stayed here four years ago, I might well have chosen not to stay here for 6 nights this November. But I am glad for my weak memory. All the positives remain as before - friendly check-in, clean room, comfortable bed. The issues with heating/cooling were totally resolved...

Website said free parking was available- key reason for us choosing this hotel. Got there and were told by the unsympathetic host that not only was parking not free it was $24/day (yes even on weekends) and was full. We ended up parking offsite for the weekend which was inconvenient! Some channels on the television didn't work- different but equally...

Stayed at this hotel on 11/26-11/27. Was far from our first choice for a hotel, but rooms were booked up or very expensive with Grey Cup weekend going on. First, unloading was extremely difficult, as you have to park on the street and spots were extremely limited. Was "lucky" enough to get the last spot available in their tiny underground...

This can be a good hotel if you pick the right days. You have to try different dates. We got a great rate for a Thursday nite (79 +t) but Friday price doubled. Basement parking was pricy at $26. but included multi entry. Room was clean and quiet. If I can get the $79. price I will stay again.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
