We spent 4 nights at the Hotel Victoria, and it was perfect. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see, so the location was great. Right near Union Station, Rogers Centre, CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame. Room and bathroom were small, but everything was super clean. Very quiet, as well, so got a good...

I was in town with a girlfriend for business. We wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance to all the action and close enough to where our class was taking place. We were super impressed with the room and hotel decor was very chic. After looooong days of exploring and learning, we were so happy to climb into our super...

Great location on Yonge Street with ample shopping up the street. It is walking distance to Union Station, Rogers Stadium, Aquarium, Shopping Malls, Hockey Museum and the Path (underground shopping). The room had a modem look and feel about it, though I had a view of the brick wall through a small window. That was a little let down. And...

This hotel is ideally situated in Downtown Toronto. It's about a fifteen minute walk to the CN Tower, or will be once they've finished all the construction work that is going on in readiness for the Pan American Games in 2015. It's quite basic but the rooms are clean and well kept. There are only a few rooms that overlook...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Victoria for 3 nights on a combined business/leisure weekend. The location was perfect as we came into Union Station and were going to two Jays games. This is a very nice hotel for our 2 night visit. We stayed in room 308, which was quite small, yet functional. I suspect other rooms are larger. The room was quiet as it is at the back of the hotel. Here was no view. The best part of Hotel Victoria was the very helpful staff. They went out of...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
