We recently chose Victoria Hotel among a long list of Hotels in that area primarily for value and convenience. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the prices were reasonable as well I found the staff to be very helpful and polite The amenities in and around the Hotel were convenient and easily accessible. Parking is available right around the...

I've been checking out the smaller hotels in Toronto recently, and the Hotel Victoria is the best so far. The renovations have been to a good standard. Hallways are bright. Rooms, though somewhat small, are nicely appointed. The bathroom is simple but modern and very pleasant. Beds were new and very comfortable. The service from front desk and cleaning staff...

A great place to stay in the downtown area with many amenities within walking distance, including Union Station. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at if you are in the downtown area.

We only stayed at Hotel Victoria for one night. The hotel itself was very cute and nicely decorated. The location was great. We already had a few places planned to go to, and they were within a 5 minute walk. We did not even need to get a cab or public transportation during our stay. The hotel room was nice...

Hotel Victoria was a lovely place to stay near the entertainment district of Toronto. It was also a short walk from Union Station, making driving a car to the downtown unnecessary. The old world charm of the hotel was married to very modern facilities in the room and I have to say the shower head provided THE BEST shower I've...

Not only are the rooms extremely small and amenities scarce, the beds are quite uncomfortable and they charge you $125 deposit upon check in, then when you check out they make you wait until a maid has gone to inspect your room and then you are permitted to receive a refund for your deposit and check out. I HAVE NEVER...

The Victoria is a small hotel with very fine customer service, very conveniently located. Everything important - comfortable bed, coffee fixings, refrigerator - is provided. The front desk and housekeeping are quite responsive, and will store luggage, call cabs, and give informed recommendations about restaurants, etc. (And there is no place better than Marche, half a block away, for amazing...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
