stayed here for 1 night. neighborhood was sketchy but the hotel was wonderful. had several requests that were all accommodated. the hotel was clean, fresh and friendly. check in was a breeze. breakfast was good but only grain items (waffles, muffins and toast), coffee and watered down warm juice. Would stay again and recommend it

From the 401, it's 30 minutes from downtown Toronto. 10 minutes from the Toronto zoo. Excellent deal... Clean, comfortable room with mini fridge, microwave, iron, ironing table and blow dryer. The daily continental breakfast was good. Only problem was that the bath could of been a little cleaner.

It wasn't really the worst of the absolute worst, but the price really reflects the quality. Dirty carpet, gross floors, and questionable staff. The light at the entrance of the room didn't work upon walking in. There was only conditioner in the bathroom (4 bottle of it) and no shampoo or lotion. Hair in the towels. I found a crumbled...

The hotel outlook seems not too bad, but the room is too far away with 2.5 star hotel concept. 1. The carpet is terrible, material worn out all around the edge, lean on the wall make you feel it just throw on there. 2. No bath tub, very strange while you take shower, and of course not comfortable at all....

Having read the reviews here, we asked to see the room we were getting before we paid. Upon first glance we could see that the carpet near the walls was dusty, but the room smelled fine and looked otherwise to be in good condition, so we got it. It was reasonably comfortable and we slept well, but in the morning...

I do not believe that this is part of the Howard Johnson chain any more, despite the photographs on many of the hotel booking websites. The hotel is very tired and in need of basic upgrading. The room was clean.

Wow can't even believe this hotel is still in business! That place needs a heath inspector to come in. We booked for 4 nights but left the next day early morning.. it was sooo horrible! Everything was gross and smelt bad. We traveled with our 4 kids. Once we got there we waited in the front. The guy said he'll...

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
