Richard was a great host and when we arrived gave us lots of information and maps to make the most of our sight seeing in Ottawa. We stayed upstairs in a very large room facing the road. It was quiet though and we had a balcony with table and chairs. The shower is over the bath and quite small. We...

My husband and I stayed at the King Edward Bed and Breakfast this past November. What an enjoyable experience. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I felt like I was walking into the sef of one of those wonderful vintage Christmas movies. The breakfasts were perfect and Richard the perfect host. He made you feel like a welcome friend...

There are many reasons why I will go back to Auberge... 1. Richard the host is a very nice person and a great host. He and Sunny (his dog) welcomed me in their very special way. He gave me simple small map about the area and informed me where to go for sight seeing, eating, shopping, museums etc; and also...

We were treated like royalty for three nights on our recent trip to Ottawa. The tower room was huge, comfortable and furnished with period antiques. Breakfast was fit for a "King" and included delicious homemade muffins and croissants -- yummmmm !!! Best of all, Richard was a fountain of knowledge, providing maps, guidance to the major sites and with help...

My daughter and I stayed here instead of a hotel and we were so happy with our choice! What a great house! The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas and breakfast was wonderful! Richard was very helpful with calling us a cab and giving us directions. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful, homey environment, especially for somebody travelling alone. It was so nice to hang out in the living room before a warm fire with Sunny the dog. Breakfast was delicious, lots of fresh fruit and good coffee. Room was clean and wonderfully decorated. Great location for walking to the Byward, shops, and restaurants.

What could be better than going from a long day of meetings to a wonderful, inviting, warm home where you are welcomed by Sunny the dog, Kiwi the parrot, and Richard the owner. It's a comforting place and beats a hotel room any day. The house is wonderfully decorated with an eclectic mixture of pictures and knick knacks. Breakfast was...

Kiwi, the chatty parrot, and Sunny, the sociable Goldipoo are special special agents. Ultimate ambassadors, they are, in a city of embassies. Their supervisor, Richard Gervais (pour nos amis qui parlent francais, Roy Richard), is the benevolent monarch of Auberge King Edward, a castle-and-cathedral-like edifice next door to the Embassy of the Republic of Angola. The innkeeper and his underlings...

It doesn't get much better than the King Edward when it comes to staying in Ottawa. I in town for a 3-day conference at the new Convention Centre in October. Richard was quick to provide walking directions and it was a perfect, short stroll before and after a day indoors. Breakfast was terrific and plentiful. I enjoyed a fresh muffin,...

This B&B came well recommended by several travel sites. We were not disappointed. Richard made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh, homemade and with a nice variety. The only down side of our stay was the ongoing renovations....but that was the only shortfall. All will be perfect in the house by next week I am sure. We will stay...
