The best thing about this hotel was the location. Don't get me wrong. The staff were friendly and everything and the rooms were well maintained. I just found the outside of the building unattractive but then again in comparison to other hotels in the centre apparently it was low priced. Also the elevator was really slow but it didn't cause...

By far the most helpful, friendly staff I have encountered in a while! The rooms are a bit dated, but what the heck.....we where there to explore the city and attend the police memorial. Close to everything we wanted to see. Rugs need updating as does bathroom......but all in all good value.

Where to start: First room--linen old and dirty, not convinced it had been washed between guests Second room--stayed overnight, discovered in morning the taps did not work. Third room--was moved into a suite for the second night, smelled very musty, carpet & furniture filthy. Top it all off, there was a rat (no, not a large mouse, an actual rat)...

This hotel is somewhat dated but it was very clean and comfortable. The room was large and had 2 queen beds with2 chairs and a sofa. It is located just 3 blocks from the Government Buildings which have splended architecture. The Byward market is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This area of downtown Ottawa contains many, many...

This hotel is right in the middle of the city minutes walk from the Parliament of Canada, National Arts Centre, Byward Market and National Gallery of Art. We were three friends sharing so we booked a suite with 2 Queen size beds and a sofa bed in the living room. There was a separate kitchen well equipped with fridge, cutlery...

Got this on a last minute booking for while celebrating Canada Day and it was o.k. for the amount of time we spent in the room. The location was good since it was close to all the celebrations and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and bars. The room was small, musty, old and the view was overlooking another tar...

Pros: Great location close to the parliament hill, tim hortons, Starbucks, restaurants, and other places, staff is nice and welcoming. Cons: Outdated rooms, musty smell (really strong) you can be sure that those rooms don't get fresh air in years, you don't feel comfortable at all sleeping in a place like this, one night for me was more than enough....

This dated property in the heart of Ottawa is a good bargain but don't expect a modern porperty. It is old from the facade, to the lifts, to the furnishings - however, the rooms are clean and beds comfortable enough. The rooms are quite spacious and some have access to a balcony which I personally think is a little unsafe...

We were very disappointed. The room and hallway smelled of smoke but they say it is a smoke free hotel!! The beds were very uncomfortable and carpets dirty. We spent one night awake listening to conversation through the vent leading to another room. The entire place needs a serious face lift!! We received very little value for our money and...
