I've stayed here at least ten times over the years. Quality of hotel remains high. Rooms vary enormously - some have great views of the canal and locks at work, some stare at inner courtyard. There are fabulous, fancy suites and smaller rooms. All are well appointed and feel luxurious. Beautiful lobby with art gallery, etc. The staff are uniformly...

This is an older hotel that has a lot of personality. The room we had was small but everything worked perfectly. Nice view of the parliament buildings. Shower was great and bed was comfortable. Lobby is massive. Friendly and warm staff. Not sure if larger rooms exist but ask for one as the one we had was tiny. Room service...

The Fairmont chateau Laurier is just beautiful and when entering the hotel you know your in a special place. The staff are always so polite and ready to help you. You certainly must take a walk around the hotel to see the beautiful ballrooms and the luxurious 1920 art deco pool bellow. It was my husband 50th and he even...

Check in - we flew in from Toronto late so got to the hotel about 11:45 pm. Check in ended up being slow because there were a bunch of people at the desk asking questions. Having said that, I appreciated the fact that there were 3 employees working close to midnight (and when we got checked in the employee apologized...

This hotel does everything right. You really can't go wrong. The room was perfect and immaculate. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious and worth the price. Requests were dealt with promptly. The only hotel I will stay at in Ottawa.

This gorgeous "old lady" is steeped in history & situated in an absolutely perfect location. The hotel is virtually just metres away from some of Ottawa's most important landmarks, such as Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, the National Gallery of Canada, the Byward Market & the National War Memorial. There's a spectacular art deco swimming pool featuring pale pink marble...

We stayed here for 2 night with the 2chdren in August 2015. It is a gorgeous hotel right beside the canal and Parliament Hill. The room was a good size with 2 king size beds. Very clean and decorated well. There was a mini bar (although very expensive). Bathroom was good size and towels replaced daily. Breakfast was a buffet...

This is a high end hotel so excellence should be expected. And it was. Perfect location right in the center, next to the parliament and the market. Great breakfast, service and atmosphere. I would have liked to have free WiFi though. Most hotels offer that now and it is something I look for.
