We were taken aback by how unfriendly and unaccommodating the host was. If you think of why you choose to book a b&b rather than a hotel, it is usually for (I) a very warm, friendly experience, and (II) a delicious breakfast. Well, I will elaborate on why what we got was the opposite of a warm, friendly experience, and...

This is the second time I stayed at Amarula house. I had a fantastic experience the first time, but unfortunately this time around, the experience was not as positive. Positives: 1. Clean and well appointed rooms 2. Great location Negatives 1. Upon arrrival we were told a number of times to lock the front door after we came in. We...

4 delightful nights , 4 delicious and varied breakfasts, and a most entertaining chef and host. Easy walking to theatres, shops , restaurants and trails. The pool was a wonderful respite from the warm and humid days.

I recently had the chance this month to stay 1 night at the Amarula House with my partner, and I have nothing but positive things to say! You truly feel like this is a place home away from home. The household in general is very tidy, the pool area is superb in terms of cleanliness and depth, and there is...

We stayed in the Buffalo Suite and everything exceeded our expectations. You cannot beat the location (half a block to the main street with shopping and restaurants). The King bed was very comfortable with lovely sheets. We enjoyed a swim in the pool after a full day of shopping and visiting local wineries. The breakfast was delicious and Lyn is...

My Husband and I stayed here for his Brothers wedding in October. We spent the day touring wineries and relaxing. We were greeted to Amarula house by Lynn who was amazing. So helpful, cheerful and has a great sense of humour. Our room was gorgeous and private. Ample parking and we walked all home from the wedding at the Old...

This is our second stay at Dean and Lyn's Amarula House. Prior to finding this gem, we had stayed at hotels in NOTL but after staying here we will never look for another place again! It is so hard to write a review when everything is wonderful so I will start with the owners. Most of the time you see...

We booked two rooms in this wonderful b&b over a January weekend during the Niagara Ice Wine Festival. The location is perfect. It's about 2-3 short blocks to the Main Street in NOTL and all of it's cute shops and restaurants. Two short blocks to the Olde Angel Inn and some great beer! The Buffalo Room is very large and...

Amarula B&B is first class, very friendly and helpful (with luggage) owner, with full breakfasts to die for. Lovely rooms and the whole experience was great. Near to the theatres and shops and a swimming pool for hot days! Highly recommend it.

Two weeks after making a reservation (and three weeks before our intended stay) the owner cancelled our reservation; a repeat customer wanted the room, so she just threw us out, saying she'd find us another room at NOTL. When my wife expressed some distress (and disbelief) the owner first got snippy ("I don't see why you're making such a big...
