Large, clean room, great breakfasts, free parking, nice grounds and terraces, only a fifteen-minute walk to the Falls. But go off-season--the Falls can be elbow-to-elbow in the summer. By the way, there are THREE world-class botanical gardens within an easy half-hour drive from the Falls.
I made reservations for two rooms so my college roommates and I could have a long-overdue reunion. Three days before the gathering I incurred a medical emergency and contacted the proprietor, David, to cancel. He told me there was a 50% cancellation fee imposed seven days before the event date. I asked if it could be reduced due to my medical situation. My understanding was that if he could rent the rooms at a lower rate at the last minute he would credit my balance accordingly. I watched the rentals on Booking.com and Air2bb and noted that both rooms were rented the first night and one was rented the second. I emailed David my observations and again asked for consideration. I have never heard from him and have received no additional credit to my account. No one plans for a medical emergency, and in light of owners offer to offer to offset my cancellation fee, it disappoints me that he did not keep his word.…
This was an exceptionally friendly B&B, the breakfast was excellent, the accommodation comfortable and interesting. We would highly recommend this venue. We would definitely stay here again on any future trip to Niagara. Ideal location!
Absolutely in love with this B & B. I only have good to say about it..beautiful antiques furnishing the large, romantic rooms..., unbelievably comfortable beds, bathrooms with jaccusi and double size showers, Dave (owner) who caters to your every need, includes absolutely lovely breakfasts in the impressive dining room, walking distance to everything. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this wonderful B & B.
We were very pleasantly surprised with the place. It is not a modern skyscraper hotel and that is not what we were looking for, so the quirky Victorian feel was welcome. I actually prefer key code entry to more traditional reception areas, so that was convenient. We were given the penthouse, which is huge with a nice big bathroom with large whirlpool tub, a couple of sitting areas, and a full size dining room table as well as a massive and comfortable bed. We had moderate weather for our stay so we didn’t need the air conditioning but I imagine it would get hot up there in the summer so it was nice to have the two a/c units. David was our amiable breakfast host and prepared a hot breakfast on top of fruit cup and fresh warm muffins both days. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook here or at the sister property nearby. The only suggestion I’d make is that it would be nice to have a coffee maker and supplies in the room.…
My husband and I stayed here one night and really enjoyed it! Clean and safe, very friendly service and delicious breakfast. We loved it and would definitely come back and recommend to others! Thanks again!
We read the reviews; some said charming and some said old. The place is in need of an exterior paint job. The inside has old decor and is very clean. Our room (Blue Water) was nice sized and the bed was very comfortable. Convenient location and nice breakfast. We would definitely return.
The staff of one was superb. The accomodations were not. All exterior paint was peeling down to bare wood. The door of the room had a metal sheet nailed to it as a firedoor. Wall pictures were still cello wrapped, unframed and tacked to the wall. Half the curtain tassels had rotted off. I could continue, but you get the idea.
The owners treated us like family. Carolyn and Gary shared their history there with us, where to go, how to get around. We stayed in the Carriage House separate apartment. Breakfast was great, anything we wanted, even brought to the room one morning. We will stay there again in the future. Close to the Niagara Canada side. Convenient to Niagara On the Lake.
We booked this based of the great reviews and were excited to stay however once we arrived we decided we could not stay. The house was once nice and is in need of great repair and in a sketchy neighborhood. No one was there to great us and our key were left on the porch for any random person to walk along and take. The house has one latch lock on the door and one latch on the door to the room We felt so unsafe we didn’t even unload the luggage. The bed and breakfast policy is we pay one night, we gladly did that to be safe. BEWARE OF THE LOCATION BEFORE
