The hotel appears to be a converted industrial structure. First impressions coming in where mixed with modern entrance ramp and steps followed by flimsy wooden doors that proved to be troublesome when navigating a luggage cart. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The reception area featured chilled water with orange slices that were well past the best before date. The spacious room was well appointed but I noted several worn items or deficiencies. Tile in shower looked like it was installed incorrectly and grout was messed up. Water temp was good but pressure was lacking when all jets were used. Bed was rock hard ( which is ok for me, but some may find it a problem) also the bed had a serious creak in it over the slightest movement. Placement of tv was not at a good angle vis a vis the bed and could have benefited from articulating arm. There was also some serious wear in the flooring( cheaper laminate) Sadly we were not able to use the whirlpool tub or have the breakfast but others in our party in another room found these services good. Parking was $19 per night( I parked in the cheaper public lot behind the hotel$5) I commend the staff for above average service as they provided the bride and groom in our party with exceptional service and beautiful touches such as candles, rose petals and towel sculptures. Ultimately having stayed in Niagara Falls several times I would say that there are better value places to stay for the money. ( although having booked thru Expedia I may have paid a premium) This property is about a step above a days inn in it’s appointments and provided a clean environment.…
Our latest stay at the Sterling Inn did not disappoint, once again we had a lovely getaway made more special by the accommodations and staff. We travelled with our son and daughter-in-law this time for a birthday celebration and introduced them to the Sterling Inn for the first time and they loved it. We have been fortunate enough to stay there many times over the past couple years and have made it our #1 choice in Niagara. We have stayed at all the big chain hotels there and this hotel is superior for the rooms and service. If you are looking for a view of the falls, a pool and hot tub etc then go stay somewhere else but if you are looking for a couples getaway in a lovely relaxing atmosphere then this is the place to stay, no hockey teams running up and down the hallway ( no offence but we are past all that commotion), beautiful clean rooms and exceptional staff in a boutique hotel that is close enough to all the action but just out of all the crowds and hustle and bustle. The Inn also has a restaurant and small spa on site. The food and presentation at AG Inspired Cuisine was excellent and the spa is lovely and so convenient that you can just put on the slippers and robe provided in your room and go downstairs for your spa treatment, my husband tries to book a massage whenever we go but it’s so in demand that you need a reservation. This visit we had prearranged with the General Manager, and she went out of her way to make this a special birthday celebration. Every time we have stayed here we have been in a different room and they are all unique in there own way. This one had all the standard features, king bed, fireplace, wet bar but it was the first time we had stayed in a room with an outside patio. I’ve attached a picture since I have never seen one posted of the patio suites. There’s no view and unfortunately there is currently construction across the street but it was still nice to have an outside area. If you are looking for a wonderful couples getaway this is the place to stay. But it’s getting so popular that you need to book ahead. Thank you Deanna and staff for yet another great stay, we really appreciated the special touches that you and your staff assisted with.…
comfort beds, excellent shower with added mini breakfast . however not all positive and this may affect future travel here. after arriving at the front desk from a 4 hour drive through heavy traffic and road construction we arrived at 2:40pm and asked if we could check in . the Indian man at the front desk said no we cannot let u in room until 4pm and was kind of rude . that's an issue where other places will bend over backwards to get you into room after a long drive. i don't mind paying for a high end hotel but please give me high end services in return. one other note it rained heavy during the night and it was very load banging against the roof on the upper floor . thats it otherwise good.
We bought our daughter and her husband a spa package including room, spa and restaurant for her birthday. Her comment was Amazing just Amazing. Their was not one issue at all. She had body wrap at spa and beef tenderloin for him and salmon for her. Thoroughly impressed with ambience and quality of food. Room was unbelievable
Up scale hotel with great on-site restaurant. Room ws spacious and very clean . Staff friendly on check in and out and always greeted you thur out the hotel. Not right in heart of Niagara entertainment area so quiet location. If your younger easy walk to areas. Older as us 5 minute car ride .
As a solo traveler, and it was my first time visiting Niagara Falls, I was very nervous. This was especially true having arranged everything online and sight unseen. The moment I arrived to Sterling Inn I felt at home. It started with the comforting aroma of the entranceway to my encounters with the lovely people at the Front Desk. Then there was my room. My room was fantastic!! This may sound odd but I jumped for joy upon entering my beautiful room. The room was large with the most amazing jet tub and steam shower. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. I felt safe and no question was too much to answer. Sandra, Simi, Kayla, Annabel you were all so wonderful. Thank you so much for everything. Sterling Inn is the best and the only place I this traveler will ever stay at in Niagara Falls. I might even say this was the highlight of my trip.…
We are originally from Niagara Falls, so we knew to come mid-week when it's quieter. Sterling Spa is a great place to relax. Growing up we knew the building as the Borden Creamery and then Roman Court. The restaurant is great and the server was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the free breakfast, and the personable quality of a smaller hotel. Thanks! We'll be back - Pat & Pam.
We went to the Sterling Inn for our anniversary, 41 years after going to Niagara Falls on our honeymoon. We considered a chain hotel with a falls view, and have zero regrets that we choose the Sterling. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and upgraded our room for the occasion as well as providing complementary gifts. When we arrived early, the front desk staff (Pat and Suneil) offered us an area to sit, get beverages, and to use the washrooms. When we returned late afternoon, the upgraded room was great, with an awesome shower and a jacuzzi for 2 in the bathroom. An additional light over the desk would have helped, but we assume most folks are not spending too much time at the desk. It was about a 5 or 6 block walk down to the river/falls area, through the amusement and food area of Clifton Hill, and we were able to stroll down for the evening fireworks and lightshow, The hotel itself is one block back from the main traffic area, which lends to its quietness and we were able to park a few steps from the entrance for a reasonable fee. This will be the hotel stay against which we will measure all future hotels stays.…
My husband and I have been to this hotel many times. We enjoy the large room size and the spa like amenities. We booked a deluxe room with two person jet tub. Our room was large and clean and had a king size bed. It’s nice to have a wet bar area for drinks and snacks. Great jet shower and roomy sink area. Two TVs and a fireplace that had no instructions. Breakfast in the morning was very nice. Everything fresh. The lobby is very nice and has a upgraded coffee area and fresh fruit infused water station. The hotel staff were mostly very welcoming and helpful. The spa was great as always and we had a relaxing couples massage. A few things I would like to mention.: 1. I was surprised that wine glasses were not provided only flimsy plastic cups. This is not a Covid issue as breakfast was served on real dishes and glass carafes and drinking glasses. 2. We stayed two nights , but no housekeeping services for the next day were provided. I had to bag our garbage and request new towels. Now we are not snooty, I would have kept my towel if there had been enough hooks in the bathroom to hang them, but only one hook provided. Again, Covid will be blamed for the lack of housekeeping, but it’s obvious that the lack of service was about money. 3 . the room had a very strange layout in that there was no coffee table in front of the couch. To eat our breakfast, my husband used the desk and I sat on the single chair in the bedroom to eat off of a small side table. I really can’t imagine the management not noticing this issue. 3. Only 2 hangers in the closet. Seriously? 4. This is the biggest issue. The bed was the most creakiest and uncomfortable bed to sleep in. There is no way for one person to get up without the other waking up because of the haunted house like noises coming from the bed. There is also no way that management did not know about this issue. So some good and definitely some room for improvement. Managers need to step it up a bit and inspect each room with an eye to convenience, and to replacing old and worn out furniture. I understand that hotels took a hit during Covid, but reducing the service the customers receive will not encourage customers to return. BTW the hotel asked me to write a review upon checkout. I hope this helps the hotel to stay one of Niagara’s premium hotels.…
I can not say enough good things about Sterling Inn and Spa. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were very helpful with any questions/requests. The room was fantastic. We loved everything about our stay and we can't wait to go back:)
