Delayed writing review as I have only just got round to it so we actually stayed summer 2019. We had a falls view room for 2 nights. Stayed with my husband and son - room was very spacious m, really comfy my beds - great location, clean and suited what we wanted perfectly. Hotel had great selection for breakfast and view from restaurant was awesome - dinner at steakhouse was in my birthday and felt very special. Used the pool - good to have but quite small, son enjoyed having that facility. Would recommend and rebook if we returned.
We have stayed here many times over the past 21 years.I was there with my wife and daughter. This was a lot different. We were a little apprehensive considering covid and everything associated with it. We were greeted as usual by the smiling parking attendants. We had to park our own car which was different but not unexpected. We off loaded our luggage first & I took the vehicle to the parking lot (been there many times). Took the shuttle back with a fun lady that was fully of smiles and energy. We checked in and got an upgrade to the 36th floor with a beautiful view. The room was tagged with a sticker attached to the door and frame showing it was completely sanitized. It ripped when we opened the door which gave us confidence that it was done. We were there Friday till Monday and didn't need room service anyway. There was a rack with towels etc. in the hall hall for convenience. We did use a couple of towels and facecloths. We went to the Keg for lunch on Sunday. It was sad to see only about 10 people at tables in the restaurant. So is the times. We ordered skip the dishes for dinner each night. It was very weird looking down at the empty parking lot and lack of buses at the Casino. There was still quite a few people at the falls. The Maid of the Mist was running on both sides and there were quite a few people on the boats. We visited the 2 Outlet malls (of course we did-2 ladies lol). There was quite a few people at both with everyone practising social distancing and wearing masks. The businesses made you use hand sanitizer upon entry which was not a problem. Overall it was an awesome time and very relaxing.…
Can't understand the negative comments about this hotel. We stayed in a falls view room which was clean and nice. Not sure why anyone booking would not know that during covid the buffet breakfast is a no go. What planet do you live on not knowing there are a lot of restrictions during a pandemic. The breakfast was in a bag an apple,a juice, a muffin and a bottle of water so what. We ordered from TGIF and the food was ok but pricey but that was expected in Niagara Falls. Covid protocols were followed by the hotel staff and we had no issues with them. If you except all the amenities to be open don't go during a lockdown.
My friend and I stayed at the Embassy Suites about a week and half before COVID-19 restrictions really picked up in the U.S. We upgraded to the falls view room, and I’m so glad that we did given that we really haven’t been able to travel very far since this trip. The hotel was great and had a gift shop and other amenities that made it very convenient. We did save a little money by parking our car down the street for our weekend stay given that this hotels parking was pricey at the time (I’m not sure what the parking situation is now with COVID-19). The only issue we had was related to the elevators. Given that there are so many floors the elevators can be very slow. This hotel is great for anyone that wants a great view of the falls and great proximity to near by amenities. The Fallsview Casino is right down the road and the falls are a short tram ride down the hill. If you can stay here do it! …
My husband and I booked 2 nights here from Jan 1-3rd as a small getaway to start off the new year. I had stayed here with my family maybe 10 years ago and had good memories. Unfortunately, a lot has changed. I don't think it's a 4 star hotel anymore and I was particularly disappointed by the deceptive marketing related to things like parking, breakfast, wifi etc. The advertised room price was $210 per night, including breakfast and free wifi. With taxes and fees, it came to $573. The email also noted that parking was $35. When we arrived, we realized that onsite parking is $60; For $35, you have the privilege of parking at their off-site outdoor location 3 blocks away and taking a shuttle back to the hotel. Thankfully, the shuttle picked us up right after we parked so we didn't have to wait long in the cold. We are on the 40th floor. The falls view is nice although the window is smaller than I expected. The suite is clean but super dated. And the walls are THIN! Last night, we could hear the family with young children in the room beside us until 2am. The wifi is only free for one device (really? In 2021? And obviously we'll just hotspot that device). Also, there are plastic bags next to the garbage cans that you have to use to line the can yourself, which is weird. This morning, "breakfast" was left at our door: a paper bag with orange juice, a bottle of water, a tiny shrink-wrapped muffin and an apple. Given Covid limitations, I was expecting a pared-down breakfast, but this is just ridiculous. Airplanes serve better breakfasts! In any event, the exact nature of this "breakfast" should have been made clear upon booking so that prospective guests can make informed decisions. I've only been here for about 12 hours and I already know that I am definitely never coming back.…
