Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had stayed here before and enjoyed a decent stay because of the price and the location is close enough to the Falls and also far enough to miss any of the noise . We booked 2 nights and had friends join us the second night but the booking place messed up the reservation but the owner went above and beyond to rectify the issue straight away .Very hospitable and accommodating just ask and they're right there for you .Definitely be staying there for future visits recommend the jacuzzi suites , Shaeky the owner tells us in the off season they will be updating all the rooms so the next stay will be even better .

My wife and I had a night we'll never forget and it had a lot to do with the fabulous hospitality from the owner of this property. We can't thank you enough. You made us feel at home. Big hotels can't offer experiences like this. Our room was right next to the pool and we had a heart shaped jacuzzi. Originally we booked a basic room but the honeymoon suite was recommended to us by the owner. We made some great memories in Niagara Falls and also made a friend. Thank you so much. We will be back!

Very friendly staff. The owners care about the business and will work to accommodate guests. It was exactly what I was looking for. Met expectations and felt safe and comfortable. I will keep this place in mind for future visits to Niagara!

Horrible customer service. Booked with Expedia, then received a message from the manager of the hotel stating that they can’t give me the room for the price I booked on Expedia and they wanted more money. Do not recommend!

Had a reservation for 2 rooms with 2 beds per room, for 2 nights. When we attempted to check in, we were informed that one of the rooms had a plumbing problem, and all they could offer us was a room with one bed and a pullout couch. We checked it out and it was unacceptable, hardly any room to pull the couch out, and it wasn’t in good shape. They offered a 10% discount, which we refused. After further discussions, we were informed that the ‘plumbing problem ‘would be fixed in 10 minutes, so we waited. Turns out there was no plumbing problem, but they had given our room to some family member who was down from Toronto. The 20 minute wait was how long it took him to move his stuff out! Problems didn’t end there. The rooms are musty and smell of smoke. The AC didn’t work too well, and actually stopped working entirely the second night. They don’t clean or change towels between nights. The only things thinner than the bedding were the towels. The free breakfast consisted of coffee and a couple loaves of bread for toasting. That’s it! When we asked where the ice machine was, the owner pointed to a store on the next corner and said they sold ice there. The favorable reviews must all be from family members. THERE IS NOTHING FAVORABLE ABOUT THIS PLACE!!

Low budget, nothing fancy, place to stay. We chose this location as we wanted to be walking distance to the falls but not spend a fortune on a room we were hardly in. We were leery prior to arrival but changed our mind quickly as the owners were very pleasant and ensured we were happy during our 4 day stay. Rooms were spacious and included TV, a mini fridge and microwave. Beds were comfy with amazing pillows. Wifi worked well and our AC worked great and the water pressure for showers was top notch! “Breakfast included” is coffee, tea and toast ( maybe juice too). We pack a lot of our own food so we never went down. Kids loved the pool which was clean and open from 10am-10pm. We asked for no service except towels and garbage daily which Raymond ensured was taken care of. No Frills and Dollarama are close by if you forget something and breakfast buffet (AlMacs) across the street is pretty good for $7.99. Dairy Queen is only a few steps away and offers their $7 Meal Deal. It’s busy but they’re are very efficient. We go to Niagara Falls every other year and will definitely book at Sunset Inn due to the hospitality, location and price!! Thank you Shaeky and Family From the family in Rooms 32 & 33

Our toilet was turned off when we arrived, I turned the tap on and found the water trickled constantly, not a big deal. Every time we returned to our room, staff was needed to unlock our door which took a few seconds but when I would try before getting help, I was unsuccessful. Garbage was not emptied in our room during our stay. Room was outdated.
