I was looking for a cheap motel for two weekend days. This hotel advertises a $58 per day deal (but that is only early in the week). I was charged $284 for 2 nights. Included in the price was the HST tax (which is a legitimate Canadian tax) ($29.16), A destination marketing fee (whatever the hell that is) of $8.86. A transient Accommodation Tax (whatever the hell that is) of $4..52 and Resort Fee (that takes nerve to call this place a resort) of $17.96. The room was clean, but no better than the motels in Scarborough when young people or a couple having an affair would go. The "courtyard view" was a view of the parking lot. The breakfast on Sunday was goodm but nothing special. In was denied the CAA discount because I booked on line. I was also disappointed in the entire Niagara Falls experience. The whole city has the feel of an old out dated carnival.

Hotel's Favourite
Despite the negative reviews, we booked a king jacuzzi room on the sixth floor TOWER with a balcony. Seventh floor fireplace rooms have no balcony but may have a slightly better view during the summer months when the trees are fully leafed. We really enjoyed the illuminated American Falls in the distance from our patio door, a real treat to see from the comfort of the warm hotel room . We brought our own snacks and drinks and had very satisfying viewing of the nightly light show on the falls. The room was very clean, and had a refrigerator although there was no coffee maker (COVID would make it difficult to sanitize anyways). We preferred using the Jacuzzi tub instead of going down to the hot tub in the pool area. There was complementary coffee and tea available in the lobby, with a communal microwave to use if necessary. The bed mattress and pillows were perfect for firmness and comfort – we had the best sleep in awhile. The most outstanding amenity is the complimentary parking and location so close to the falls. Municipal parking rates are $10/hr near the falls. From this hotel, one can easily walk to either US or Canadian falls along the parkway or along the major streets. We ventured over to the casino across the street, but it was practically deserted, although the fast food and burger restaurants were open. The breakfast is no longer the hot hotel breakfast we used to love pre-COVID, but really, breakfast buffets would be difficult to keep hygienic. Supplement the little bag breakfast supplied or go out for a splurge to one of the nearby restaurants, like the Flying Saucer. The kids will prefer it anyways. If you are expecting a 4 star hotel, go elsewhere, but for a mid-range 2 star hotel, this is a terrific hotel. The staff were kind and welcoming. This hotel is great value for money, and the location can’t be beat. We would return in a heartbeat.

Good location, facility is dated and the room was very disappointing (see photos). Stayed on the 4th floor and our room was very dated, furniture was extremely old. The one wall was covered in dust, the air conditioning system didn’t work effectively, the hair dryer didn’t work, bathroom sink drained extremely slow, and the worst part was the black spots on the ceiling with a patchy ceiling repair job, not to mention the damaged floor. I choose Choice Hotels for their high standards and this hotel did not meet the quality and cleanliness I normally see in this chain of hotels. I will say that staff were friendly and the breakfast that was included was very good. But I felt that the room was very unclean and damaged with poor repairs, so I wouldn’t stay there again.

Stayed here for 1 night The good: Excellent location! Free parking, and delicious free breakfast with quite a few options The bad: Hotel is pretty run down and the rooms weren’t very clean. Bedding and towels were great! However the amount of visible dust and mold was a little concerning. The toilet barely flushed and the sink was extremely slow to drain Would I stay here again? More than likely not!

Stayed here one night, Room 602 had nice view of the American Falls and fireworks. I'll echo a lot of the other reviews. Hotel could use a redo. The light on our patio deck was hanging by the wires and had been for some time since it had a bird nest in it. Front desk people were helpful. I felt the price was pretty high for the hotel, but I did not compare to other places first.

Our room reminded us of a cheap motel. We were booked for three nights but didn’t bother to unpack. We had to pay for one night(understandable) but found a nicer place. My wife said if we stayed, she would sleep in the car. No microwave, no ironing board/iron either.

*** Bad ☹️ Excessive plumbing noise from other rooms, even louder than our noisy air conditioner eg. you don’t get to sleep until your neighbour’s stop using their wash basin and shower. No fly screen to keep the flys out eg. couldn’t open the window. Plenty of lights in the room but only 50% of the globes are working. Curtains don’t block the outside lights at night. I didn’t feel safe leaving valuables in my room. Lots of wear and tear! *** Good 😊😊😊😊😊 Location Location, 10 minutes walk to the falls down a short steep hill. Easy to find Hotel because it’s beside the Skylon Tower and Casino. Downtown is top of hill, the same level as hotel eg. Walk to everywhere and leave the car at the hotel, that’s a plus. Comfortable beds, not too hard or soft. Food court in the Casino opposite eg. Tim Hortons, Burger King, Sushi, Burritos… Tip: Tim Hortons sells large cups of Hot Water 20 cents per cup. Free hot and cold water dispenser at reception, otherwise it’s not cheap to buy water downtown. Breakfast self serve: Waffles hot Sausage hot Scrambled egg hot Cereal packets Bread Muffin Orange juice Tea & Coffee Decaf coffee (Bonus) Conclusion: if you need a hotel room in a top location with free parking then this is the hotel for you. I won’t return because I value my sleep. Note: every hotel I’ve stayed at Niagara Falls have been in very poor condition, probably due to excessive tourism.

We booked Fallsview room but they didn't show this on their system. We showed the booking with it on but they didn't have any left. There was plenty of parking. It is close to the falls, just a very short walk away -although it does involve coming up a steep hill on the way back which may be a problem for those with walking difficulties. It had a pool which we didn't use but noted it was on the corner of a busy street with glass walls so not very private. The room was a reasonable size and mostly clean, though felt like it could do with a little more ie the floor needed a sweep and mop but no "deep dirt". The bedding was definately clean. I found the beds comfortable - my friend didn't. (2 King beds). Room temperature fine. Does need modernising, a little dark. Amenities fine. Good Breakfast. All in all, we were pleased with the motel for the price we paid.

When we arrived the two clerks were talking to each other about something on their computer and didn't acknowledge us for a few mins. Not even a "one moment please". My gf had to say "hello!" to get their attention. The room itself is nice with wood floors. There is no coffee maker in the room when the book in the hotel states there should be (I realize covid times but all hotels still have them.) The switches in the bathroom are falling off the faceplate and made us nervous to use them. These rooms have a balcony which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Wifi works well but the tv is in SD and can be hard to see. Both the pool and hot tub are open and requires a reservation. Im sure all Niagara hotels are the same but the extra fees they charge like "transient" and "marketing" fees make no sense and should not be passed on to the customer. Why should I pay to help you market??

The cost would have been decent if the room was cleaned properly. We had a 2 year old that crawled on the floor and we realised 10 minutes later that her stockings were covered in black!!! It was the floor (although it looked clean...not had been mopped probably in a long time). I complained to the front desk and they were excellent, apologised and got someone on it that day. They did clean it properly. In saying this, the mirror across from the bed was very poorly cleaned and there was dust just everywhere: on the high places, underneath the ice box, in the bathroom on the hair dryer, etc. It just is never cleaned properly. There was also a small amount of black mould in the bathroom behind the door on the ceiling. If it weren't for the poor cleaning, we would have enjoyed our stay and recommended it. I gave this place 3 stars instead of 2 stars because the staff took care of the floor problem. We didn't expect any breakfast but the small paper bags of items was a bonus for us. GREAT FREE PARKING--was one of the reasons we stayed here. Felt secure enough so that I do recommend.
