Called ahead to prebook a king room with private balcony 2 days prior to our visit on December 11. When we got to check in I was turned off. The older man behind the glass was very rude. No mask ( which I though was mandatory) began to cough out in the open (mind you their plastic barrier are not fully sealed. Then he had to charge my card twice (apparently one charge is the room the other is the deposit). When I asked why I was told they do this all the time for many years and no one has questioned this ( I've stayed here before and they never did that.) Older man was just miserable. I let all this slide because it was our anniversary and we just wanted to go to dinner and enjoy ourselves. The strong odor of cigarette was in our room ( yet the door said non / no smoking ) The hot water didn't work the heater was broken. When I had let him know the issues in our room I was told nothing could be done. No other rooms to upgrade if I wasn't happy I could leave. Dont have to tell me twice, we left. The customer service sucked. For a man of that age to be very snobbish is very sad. We ended up loosing our dinner reservations because we had to scramble and find a new hotel. I would never stay here or recommend this place to anyone.…
My boyfriend and I went here and it was awesome ! Clean rooms , awesome staff and awesome prices it only cost 80$ for a nice big room , I will come back for sure whenever I want to visit the falls again
Been coming to this Travelodge for 15 years or more very unsatisfied with my stay this time I never complained about anything the smell in the hotel hallway and my room was very musty almost unbearable will not be returning to this hotel
We have stayed at this hotel for many years with no issues until recently when we had the unfortunate opportunity of being a guest during a pandemic as well as being treated by incompetence and lack of tolerance. The management here is ignorant and disrespectful. People of Niagara need to understand that without the tourists there would be no Clifton Hill and most likely many of these hotels will end up in bankruptcy so although some people such as ourselves decide to take a day trip and come down to the falls while still following social distancing rules we should never be treated as though we are not welcome there because your economy depends on us. Smarten up. I will never stay at this hotel again they've made hundreds if not thousands of dollars off of my family and I over the years but they will not ever receive any of it ever again.…
Was good at first the boss or manager I'm pretty sure gave us great service, then once he let some bald guy take over everything went to to shir, he was even laughing at us as we got kicked out, what a jerk, he should be fired we honestly didn't do anything wrong, maybe sat out too late talking on patio, but really who doesn't do that at times? And it really wasn't a family hotel if some had family n heard us taling, it really isn't a family hotel
