Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The room itself was solid. I got a decent night's sleep. The parking was surprisingly good as that was my biggest fear from seeing the photos of the place. I wanted a hotel close to the "action" that is Niagara Falls. We wound up parking closer to the Rainbow Bridge so we could walk across to the Maid of the Mist. The elevators were slow and this seemed to have been decorated with a 70's vibe. The place is a little zooey.

We were in town to support kids competing in Canada Games. We wanted to be close to the falls, Clifton Hill and Restaurants, as well as be conveniently located to get in and out so we could watch events. When we arrived, we were greeted by a fantastic employee who was happy and cheerful and got our check in done quickly and efficiently. We had our car - it is $15/day...and we never had a problem finding a spot in our week at the hotel (and there were a couple of days we didn't get in until after 9p due to games etc). The room was clean and had everything we needed...including a heart shaped tub lol the King sized bed was super comfortable and AC worked great! They don't do daily housekeeping unless you pay a fee - this wasn't a big deal for us as we usually put the "Don't Service" sign on the door when staying multiple nights - but I know that could be a big deal for some. We called Front desk for fresh towels, cups, TP and coffee a couple of times, and they were prompt in delivering, and was never an issue. The pool is fantastic - indoor and outdoor - with loungers outside. it was great to relax and get some sun and enjoy the pool a couple of times during our stay. Overall - we were extremely satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay again. Thanks HOJO!

The room was really well decorated, clean and the AC was perfection. For the price, I really didn't expect such a nice room! Super convenient location. My recommendation is that you go to the public parking on the corner of McGrail/Magdalen to save a few bucks because all hotels around here charge way too much for parking.

Rooms needed more attention tion to detail, hair thay wasn't ours, dusty, minimal toilet paper, 2 different socks that weren't ours as well as two hair ties. Great location short walk to the falls and the beds were comfy.

The stay was great. Loved the location and room size. Parking lot had parking spots easily when we left for awhile and came back. Has a pool we didn’t have time to use but it looked nice. Only issue we had was asking for more towels twice on morning of check out and they never arrived. So we had to leave with no showers and then no compensation for it. No discount or breakfast coupons etc. just do better on that end please. Other wise a great spot

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted pleasantly and also pleasantly told that there was a $15-per-night charge for parking. We accept that this was in the small print of the website but it wasn't enough for us to be aware before we arrived. The charge would have been acceptable except that it was a challenge to find parking at any time of the day and we ended up reluctant to use our own car. The room was comfortable and clean, with a microwave, fridge, hair dryer, and working A/C. At check-in, we were advised that housekeeping would not be visiting every day, but could, if we wanted them to, check in on the third day. Any more than that would cost $25 per day. Breakfast was also not included. There is no doubt that the COVID issue has taught the hospitality industry that it is acceptable to offer the customers less for more money. The internet connection upon which we as a family heavily rely was poor and intermittent. The only thing that we could count on was that several times a day it would go out for sometimes more than an hour. We questioned the front desk and were repeatedly told that they were "working on it". As mention earlier, the room was comfortable, the staff were also pleasant and the hotel location was central and convenient, but the sketchy internet alone would be reason enough to look elsewhere as it left us frustrated on a regular basis.

Fabulous location! Very quiet at night and comfy beds. Bathrooms are in dire need of remodel. Very outdated. Staff is very pleasant. Easy check in and checkout. Cost is high for what you get but much better then other Hotel rates.

My partner and I stayed for a night out on Clifton Hill and this was the perfect location! Everything you need is within walking distance. Plenty of parking in the area, however we used the onsite for $15 and it's well worth it. Staff was professional yet friendly and helpful! We had an issue with our tub jets and they had someone on the job within minutes. We had the heart tub and couldn't have been happier! Loved the retro vibes and decor throughout the hotel. Room cleanliness was superb! Can't attest to the breakfast as we slept in, so popped over to Denny's right across the parking lot which is also convenient 😂. We will definitely stay here again, thanks Hojo!

First the good: the location is awesome, right next to all the main attractions, and within somewhat walking distance of the falls themselves. The rooms are big enough, with all the amenities advertised on the website. Their is a pool and a hot tub accessible to all hotel guests (with your room key), with fresh towels up until 6pm. However, they warn you that there will be no housekeeping in the room and THEY MEAN IT. If you want fresh bathroom towels, leave the wet ones in the hallway and go to the reception to request new ones. Garbage - leave it in the hallway and request plastic bags at the reception. Soap, shampoo - same. We stayed in the hotel for 4 night and the beds weren't made even once. So be prepared. One thing that disturbed me the whole time was the stench in the hallway. When you first walk out of the elevator it hits you with the force of 10 public washrooms all at once. The best way I can describe it is like those car "air fresheners" but so much worse. The hotel does not offer breakfast, so budget visits to the Deny's next door. The parking lot is not big enough for all guests, so if you don't need your car during the day, better leave it there and save some headaches at the end of the day. It is also not included in your stay. Overall a decent place to sleep but if you are picky and can afford it, find another one.

Worst Internet connection ever... Must rely on your personnal data plan; Read carefully: parking IS NOT FREE (15$ a day); Overall, not the best hotel in Niagara for the buck, just OK for sleeping, not more
