Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Horrible managed property. Funny mildew smells, dirty, very slow wifi, employees are inderrernt and could care less. They struggle with Bonvoy rules, dark and dated, crappy breakfast, A/C does not work, noisy, bad beds, bad towels. There has got to be better places to stay in the area. Avoid this dump. I feel scammed.

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed 1 night. Hotel was clean and safe, beds were comfortable, AC quiet, front desk was courteous and welcoming. Self parking was in front for about CAD 20 including taxes and you can park there all day even on the day of checkout. Pools were indoor and outdoor (hot tub was under maintenance though). Walking distance to everything including the falls (tip: walk to the back of the parking lot heading to Skylon Tower, fastest way to the American Falls then Horseshoe Falls). The room we were given faced the direction of the falls and Skylon Tower. So at around 10pm, the room had a front row seat to the short fireworks launched around American Falls I believe

We recently stayed here for 2 night. The staff was very friendly, the room newly renovated and was very clean. It is a convenient location, slightly away from all the tourist crowds, but an easy walk to the falls, and we appreciated the parking just outside the hotel. It was very easy to access coming into and leaving the city. We had interactions with many helpful and friendly Canadians including the gentleman at the front desk in Windsor City Hall, the waitresses at both the nearby Denny's and at Table Rock cafe and Rick at the Marriott breakfast buffet. The waitress at Table Rock was very knowledgeable our their grape and wine production and gave us an introduction to Ice Wine.

Based on the reviews, I requested renovated rooms on a higher level floor. We were booked into two adjoining rooms on the 8th floor (hotel has 10 floors). We did not pay extra for any kind of "view" (other than perhaps the 10pm fireworks, not sure what else might have been viewable, however). The rooms were, in fact, recently renovated and were very nice: very spacious with sleek/modern furniture and an updated/modern bath. Beds were very comfortable. The only minor nit was the rooms could have used a 2nd mirror; there was just 1 mirror over the separate-from-shower/toilet-room sink, really only enough room for 1 person to use comfortably at a time. Housekeeping came once during our 4 night stay, which was about right. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Location was great - everything was very walkable from here, and yet it was not too close to be overly noisy/congested. We would stay here again!

The Front desk staff promotes the $20 breakfast at the Keg restaurant nearby, however the experience was not the best. The serving trays were almost empty, wait at the egg station, simple bottle water was not available, given a very humid summer day, etc. just a poor continental breakfast with the added eggs. Management needs to offer the free breakfast with the higher room rates.

We stayed here for one night. Our room was dated and could use an update or remodel. But it was clean and very nice! The location is convenient, just a a couple blocks, to the falls and to the main area of restaurants and activities. We would stay here again if we ever come back.

This hotel used to be a hidden value gem of Niagara Falls, with its great location, cheap parking, and free breakfast (for Platinum Elites) in the Keg restaurant. However, it's gone downhill in recent years -- the rooms are in rough shape with ripped carpet and beds that are falling apart. The breakfast benefit is also gone, a victim of cost-cutting -- Platinum Elites now get two coupons per day, each good for 50%-off the price of an overpriced adult breakfast. Unless of course you stay the two days a week their restaurant isn't open for breakfast, in which case you get nothing at all. The location is still great, but it's no longer good value to stay here -- we'll be looking for somewhere else next time.

Apart from the fact that I wouldn’t recommend a stay in Niagara Falls after all, the Courtyard is, however, a decent option if you decide to spend a nice in that weird town anyways. Don’t get me wrong: the falls themselves are an exceptional natural phenomenon and absolutely worth visiting! Yet the massive touristic spectacle all around it is simply over the top and wasn’t for us. Anyways, here are my ups and downs for the Courtyard: + 10 min walk to the Niagara Falls + affordable parking + plenty of food options around + spacious room + comfy bed - no breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays (lack of staff) - room wasn’t ready when we arrived

We had a great overnight visit to the falls. The hotel is a little battered, but when you consider the traffic they endure night after night, you will get no complaints. Jordan, who checked us in, was very friendly and helpful. She gave us directions to a local bakery and was on hand for our questions. Chris at the Bistro was a great bartender. We really enjoyed having a glass of wine on the patio by the tiki torches.

This is not our first visit to Courtyard Marriott and definitely won't be our last. The location is perfect, about halfway between the Falls and Fallsview area. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. We love that guests have the option of choosing when to have their room cleaned or even if they wanted it cleaned. Being there for only a few days we chose just to get clean towels every day. It would be nice if the place had its own restaurant, but Denny's is right across the street. Would also be nice if they didn't charge so much for parking. I know everyone in the Falls area charges for parking but give guests a break. Would also have been nice to have been offered an upgrade since we were celebrating a birthday.
