Old and isolated is the best way to describe this small motel. The property is in disrepair and well off the beaten path. It's best feature is that it's close to the GO Transit bus stop in the city. Miserly with towels. The owner and manager are ill-suited to the hospitality sector - overly nosy, unkempt, almost hostile towards guests. Their clai to be newly renovated definitely did not apply to my room.
Tiny room, no exhaust fan or window in the bathroom.. 3 channels on the TV.. The wifi is either terribly slow or non existent. A positive note. The fridge was cold. The resident staff were kind .. Rodney , Sandy are doing what they can under untenable conditions.. The shower drain cover upside down, unattached, and sharp.. Careful, the toilet clogs easily! the location is not very good. It is very noisy next to the 420 highway, with windows that fail to block sound and have broken winding mechanisms.. Unless you wish to experience hardship, don’t go there
Room was in terrible condition. It was a smelly room. Bathroom was also not clean with hairs lying all around , they are not even cleaning, tey are not doing anything to manage the property. you can see garbage on the outside. They give us a room with a small ac which wasn't working properly , fridge had a dirty smell, which lasted for entire duration of our stay. Whole vacation was spoiled. Was a big mistake as I wanted to save money but it ruined my vacation. 0 star.
We stayed here recently with a group taking up a few rooms. Every single room was FILTHY. There was dried puke on the sinks/walls, hair in the showers, black mould in the bathrooms, the carpets were disgusting and behind/under the beds had not been vacuumed in what I can only guess months (They did not bother to pick up any garbage that was not in plain view in any of the rooms we were in). Each room's decor was dated and appeared to be whatever they could find at a local garage sale. I don't usually write reviews but this is the worst place I have ever been to. Cobwebs and BIG spiders outside of the doors. Do yourself the favour and spend a little more to stay elsewhere. These people are not interested in running a business - they are looking for a quick dollar from you.
Booked through Booking.com. Said it was a 6.9.... more like a 2.1. BIG mistake!! Rooms look nothing like photos posted on their site. Staff didn't speak English terribly well, carpet worse than what my dog sleeps on, toilet not secured to floor, bathroom towels thin as paper. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Guess if you're on a really tight budget and bring slippers - you'll be ok.
The rooms are clean, compact, and perfect for a quick get-away to see Niagara Falls! The owner is extremely helpful. Some updating to the carpeting, furniture, & bedding cover is all that this motel needs to be amazing! It is located in a quiet neighborhood & walking distance to the Falls and all of the attractions.
The E-lodge was a nice place. Cozy rooms, clean. The owners are kind people and very helpful. Free parking is great. It's about 20 minutes walk to the falls passing by Clifton Hill. Good location. It would be nice if more amenities were in room, such as coffee machines, hair dryer, etc. but having a fridge and microwave is great. Overall a good stay and would probably stay here again.
Me my wife and our one year old daughter went to Niagara last weekend. The receptionist Hannah was very friendly professional and helpful.she guided us provided us a city map.It is only 10 min walk to falls. The room was very nice and clean. The Motel is very nice safe and quite best to stay with family and senior citizens.
Rooms were clean and satisfactory. Very helpful receptionist who provided maps, held bags and answered all questions. The urban hub of the falls is a short walk about 10 mins approx. Very reasonable and was perfect for a quick stay which was satisfactory
On a 2 month holiday across Canada and the United States this was the worst place I stayed in, and that was down to two things; the location and the rooms. A very aptly named Motel 'near' the falls. I mean it's also 'near' the US Border but I wouldn't name it after that. It is a good 4-5km walk either on an unsafe street or alongside a motorway (on the grass merge because the footpath doesn't quite reach down as far as the motel). Also very badly lit at night. The rooms were old, smelly and very badly maintained. There was many pills left under my bed and so many stains on the carpet, the headboard was not attached to the bed, The AC was located in the bathroom and was VERY loud, the doors and windows just about locked and the shower was dirty. On the positive side the lady who owns the place is a very nice woman, and her family live on site in an adjacent home. The second star on this review is purely because of this. I wish I had looked somewhere else, but now this motel has the honor of being the worst place I have stayed in.…
