The property is relatively new and it is our first visit unfortunately during the pandemic! Our first impression was pleasant and we were greeted well at check in! The room is relatively clean albeit with hand prints all over the stainless steel appliances. We feel safe enough and the bed was comfortable! The breakfast selections were very poor and no one even attended to ensure the supplies are replenished. All in all we enjoyed our stay but like anything else improvements can always be made even amidst these strange times! We are regular Marriott customers and it is a brand we will likely stick with!

Dear Tsangs53, Thank you so much for staying at Residence Inn By Marriott Toronto Mississauga West. I am happy to know that your check in experience was pleasant. We are happy to have you here and we work very hard to ensure that you will have a memorable experience in  our hotel. I have noted your comment regarding old stains/marks in our appliances. We will review this incident with our appropriate team members to ensure proper cleaning tools will be used in order to remove the marks on our appliances. However, I can assure you that the entire room has been sanitized before releasing it. With regards to breakfast, Due to current regulations, we are not allowed to serve our usual full buffet and we are limited to what we can offer. However, we just started serving a few hot items in order to improve our breakfast selections.  Thank you so much again and we hope to welcome you back soon.

Since I travelled to the states and came back home to Toronto, Canada it was mandatory for me to self-isolate for 14 days. I know the hotels in my area, and this Residence Inn was modern, new and a 15 minute drive from my house. Before booking I called to compare prices normally and I informed the front desk that I would be self-isolating, they provided me with a good deal and includes a packaged breakfast with the room rate. When I arrived the staff were friendly and provided my keys. I was in a king suite on the 1st floor, quiet corner. My car was parked right outside my room, to keep an eye on it. The room was spacious and up to date. Kitchen contained fridge, microwave, dishwasher, stove, toaster and nespresso machine (I used it for tea). Desk area for me to work, with big comfy sofa bed couch and the TV was personalized every-time of day and offered streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Youtube). I really enjoyed the washroom with a stand up shower, marble carerra tiles and LED light up mirror. Everyday around 8:30am I would wake up and go to the door to receive my breakfast pre-packaged and wrapped in a bag. The breakfast consisted of 2-brown bread slices, butter, a boiled-egg, yogurt, banana and apple. For a suggestion I would switch up the bread to white for a variety. I really enjoyed the blackout curtains while sleeping on my comfy bed. I would notice at times there were a lot of people outside and the blackout curtains helped because no one could see inside as my room was on ground level. Really liked how there were a lot of USB plugs for my iphone. Due to my self-isolation as policy I did not leave for 14 days and my family or UBER would leave food at my door safely for me to retrieve it. For room-service, I was supplied with all the toiletries, towels, kitchen supplies, bedsheets and other essentials. The Residence Inn leaves a note for health and safety due to COVID for its guests and room service services (trash or towel collection) is on Monday and Tuesday. By my 8th day in the hotel I wanted to throw out my garbage and noticed ants underneath the sink. The cleaning ladies twice helped me out however told me that I need to leave my garbage at the door. No one at front desk informed me of that rule. The hotel did have pool and gym amenities appointment only however I did not use them this time. I really enjoyed my stay and will suggest to family members and friends to stay here. Thank you Marriott!

A big thumbs for the stay experience. Read below for in-depth experience. As a mandatory requirement to self-quarantine for 14-days due to covid-19, I finalized upon this property after shortlisting and cancelling a few other Bonvoy Marriott Hotels. Located just 12-mins drive away from Toronto Pearson International Airport, the place is a new construction. The amenities and services are beyond your expectations. Booking through the Bonvoy Marriott app was a breeze. Upon arriving exhausted and tired from a long trip all the way from India, I was greeted with a big smile by Kai at the reception. She was very courteous and generous enough to ask about my well-being. I was given a King-suite on a higher floor, facing the road as per my preferences. The carpet & wooden-flooring combination room as I entered had a walk-in kitchen with a 2-door refrigerator, 2-top electric stove, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee-maker, a dishwasher and a sink with hot & cold running water. It also had a 2-chair breakfast table attached in the kitchen. Stepping further, on the left is a sofa lounger to relax. A full-size mirror adds as a double-space-effect in the room. A 55-inch TV for your entertainment with Netflix, Amazon, Youtube & bluetooth connectivity. 2-big windows for enough natural day-light to come-in till noon which can be completely darkened with the curtains. A study/work desk with a lamp to make you feel at work with desk-power connectivity, 2-plug as well as USB ports. A king bed with lamps on either sides and side-tables with electrical & USB ports for your charging needs, a closet with iron & board with hangers to hang your dresses & clothes. Another shelf with a mirror to keep your bags with big drawers can make you feel really comfortable to empty your bags for 2-weeks. The washroom had a big-mirror and a standing shower setup. The staff especially, Mrs. Paramjeet & others were really on their toes to make sure you get a great experience at the hotel. Due to quarantine, as a policy, the rooms were cleaned after I checked-in, but as a room-service, I was supplied with all the toiletries, towels, napkins, bedsheets and other essentials. The breakfast was packaged and the common-breakfast area was not operational at that time. The breakfast consisted of 2-brown bread slices, butter, a boiled-egg, a tin of flavored yogurt and fruits like banana & apple. Im sure you cannot get bored with the entertainment available in room. Right adjacent the street is the Cineplex Cinemas with lots of restaurants like McDonalds, Wendy's, Boston Pizza and many others. The hotel premises as shared with Fairfield (another Marriott hotel) has a big parking space with charging facility for your electric car. You cannot go wrong by selecting this place to stay alone or with your friends or family. I plan to visit the place again in few months to explore it again and get another great experience. OVERALL = A Big Thumbs Up...!!!

This property was essentially perfect during our first stay months ago when it freshly opened, but, although still solid, has declined somewhat since then. STRENGTHS - Quiet room, didn't hear a peep. - Quite functional with complete kitchen, large high-def TV, roomy washroom, firm mattress, smooth air-conditioning that isn't overly noisy. - Updated gym with universal station. - Good Covid protocols, including only one family in the gym at a time, and staff wearing masks at all times. However guests who selfishly didn't wear a mask were not accosted by management. - Plentiful free parking. WEAKNESSES - Poor cleaning of room, with crumbs and dirt in the fridge and kitchen drawers, and dirt on the sheets and blinds. Plenty of dirt on stairs. Very disappointing and disconcerting. - Kitchen sink faucet is bizarrely positioned very far from the counter, forcing you to lean over awkwardly. - Virtually no water pressure. Impossible to clean your toothbrush. - Completely unsatisfactory response by management when I requested that one out of our five nights be refunded due to the issues. Had to negotiate for 7500 points, but then the points weren't added and I had to call Marriott Rewards. I still stay only at Marriott properties whenever possible, but for now will look for another Marriott in Toronto until the issues are addressed.
